The present invention provides a cartridge for the preparation of a liquid pharmaceutical or nutraceutical formulation, the cartridge being adapted for insertion into a mixing vessel and for dispensing at least three flowable pharmaceutical or nutraceutical compositions into said mixing vessel, the cartridge comprising a container portion, a cover portion and an opening means, or more specifically an opening means of the container portion, for opening the cartridge, preferably after its insertion into the mixing vessel, wherein the container portion comprises a container wall and a container base, the container wall and the container base defining an inner lumen and an opening of the container portion, the opening being positioned opposite to the container base, and a segmenting structure located in the inner lumen of the container portion and being physically connected to the container wall and/or to the container base such as to divide the inner lumen of the container portion into at least three segments containing the at least three flowable pharmaceutical or nutraceutical compositions.

A container for mixing two fluids includes: a container, a pouring cylinder; an upward facing step portion, a cap whose inner circumferential surface is screwed onto an outer circumferential surface of the pouring cylinder, a small container placed on an inner side of the cap; a cuttable first sheet that forms a bottom surface of the small container, a removable cylinder provided at a bottom end of the cap and interposed between the cap and the upward facing step portion, and a first cutter that is provided on the container so as to face a bottom surface of the small container that is placed on the inner side of the cap. The small container is made to approach the first container, and the first sheet is then cut by the first cutter.

A container system for separately storing and mixing two or more substances. The container system is comprised of a main container for holding at least one first substance and a cup for holding at least one second substance, the cup being removably mounted on the neck of the main container such that at least a portion of the cup is suspended within the main container. The cup has an upper portion, a lower portion and one or more arms for connecting the upper and lower portions. Apertures are formed between the upper and lower portions of the cup such that the contents of the cup may mix with the contents of the main container following removal of an inner cap attached to the cup, and agitation of the main container. The cup and neck are sized to provide a void therebetween, thereby also permitting the substances to mix.

A food tray has a lower tray containing a first food product and an upper tray nested stably at least partly inside the lower tray, with the upper tray containing a second food product. An air permeable interface is provided between the upper tray and lower tray to allow venting of steam from the lower tray during cooking. A cover is provided for the food tray. Each of the lower tray and the upper tray are formed of a material that is suitable for use in a microwave or conventional oven. Various constructions may be used to create the air permeable interface, such as lugs, ledges and lips. The upper tray may sit above the lower tray. The trays are nested loosely for ease of removal of the upper tray from the lower tray. Various configurations of cover may be used such as a sleeve, carton or lid. The upper tray may contain the higher value food product.

Provided is a multi-compartment pouch with a breakable or openable inner compartment used for mixing of two or more ingredients contained within the compartments without opening the pouch to the atmosphere. In one form, a two-compartment pouch includes a top compartment and a bottom compartment and an inner gusset separating the top compartment from the bottom compartment. The inner gusset includes an openable region and a fold line, and means for grasping and pulling apart the front and rear panels of the pouch to cause the openable region to open to allow for the combining of contents of the top compartment with contents of the bottom compartment without opening the pouch. One of the fitments is configured to support the pouch body in an upright manner. A method for making said flexible includes forming a flexible pouch having an open top. A dividing seal extends from the open top to the bottom of the pouch so as to define two pouch openings and two pouch spaces. Substances are introduced into the pouch spaces by a first nozzle and a second nozzle inserted into a respective first space and second space and filling the pouch body through the first and second nozzle.

This invention further provides use of laquinimod and pridopidine in the preparation of a combination for treating a patient afflicted with a neurodegenerative disorder, e.g., HD.
