The insulating assemblies have an interface between a base portion and a lid that has an angled transitional portion and at least one elevation change. The angled transitional portion advantageously improves lid removability, assembly reusability, and resistance to thermal energy transfer.

A shock absorbing container for retaining a beverage container or a beverage. The shock absorbing container is configured to absorb jarring or jolting impacts to reduce the likelihood of a spill. The shock absorbing container comprises a support structure, a base shock absorbing component, and a retaining insert. The support structure is rigidly constructed. The base shock absorbing component surrounds a base portion of the support structure. The retaining insert is insertable within an upper portion of the support structure and retains the beverage container or beverage. A rim shock absorbing component is house within the retaining insert to absorb impacts to a rim of the container. A lid and straw may engage the retaining insert to retain a beverage when a separate beverage container is not used.

In one embodiment, the system includes an outer box having four side walls, bottom closure flaps, and top closure flaps. A vacuum insulated panel (VIP) is detachably coupled to one of the top closure flaps and is removably covered by a cover. An insulation unit is removably positioned within the outer box, the insulation unit including a plurality of VIPs arranged to define a cavity bounded by a bottom wall and four side walls. A disposable liner is removably mounted on the insulation unit. The liner may be a thermoformed sheet and may cover the interior and top surfaces of the insulation unit. A plurality of temperature-control members and a product box may be removably positioned in the liner. Preferably, the liner is shaped so that the temperature-control members snugly fit around all sides of the product box.

A container assembly for holding containers filled with different items, such as food and cocktail garnishes is disclosed. The container assembly includes a support structure to support a plurality of removable containers. The containers are closed by a cover and sealed by perimeter seals. In illustrated embodiments, the cover includes a plurality of raised or dome shaped portions to provide interior head room for content in the containers. In embodiments described, the perimeter seals are formed of a gasket layer or bands and the support structure includes a support tray and container box.

A trunk portion 17 to be filled with a content is formed by bonding overlapping layers of a peripheral edge 9A of the folded sheet material 1. A bottom portion 13 of the container bag 34 is folded inwardly toward the trunk portion 17 along the folding line 11B. A non-bonded section 14 in which the two films 2 and 3 are not bonded together is maintained linearly within the folding line 11B.

Thermally insulated shipping system for use in transporting a pallet-sized payload. In one embodiment, the system includes a plurality of thermally insulating walls arranged to define an interior volume suitable for receiving a pallet-sized payload. The thermally insulating walls include a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a left wall, and a right wall, of which all but the bottom wall include at least two slots facing towards the interior volume. One of the slots is an inner slot that is more proximal to the interior volume, and one of the slots is an outer slot that is more distal to the interior volume. The system also includes a plurality of inner cassettes disposed in at least some of the inner slots and a plurality of outer cassettes disposed in at least some of the outer slots. The inner and outer cassettes include phase-change materials.

The dual-chamber beverage container includes an insulated bottom chamber for maintaining a temperature of a hot liquid, a cooling chamber for receiving and cooling the hot liquid to a comfortable drinking temperature, and a housing. The housing contains a motorized pump operably connected to a power source also contained within the housing. A transport tube extends from the bottom chamber, through a channel within the housing and terminates within the cooling chamber. A switch is disposed on an exterior side of the beverage container and operably connected to the motorized pump such that activation of the switch causes the motorized pump to pump air into the bottom chamber, displacing the liquid and forcing the liquid from the bottom chamber into the cooling chamber through the transport tube.
