CONNECTED CONTAINER

A system is disclosed for dynamically measuring the contents of storage containers over time. One or more sensor tags can be coupled to a container, incorporated or placed within a container, or associated with a receiving space for the container to measure a weight of the contents of the container. Each sensor tag can communicate with one another, a hub unit, and/or a local area network (e.g., a WiFi network) to provide information about the container to which the sensor tag is associated. The system is able to determine when a particular type of contents is running low and/or expected to be depleted, thus permitting the system to facilitate ordering replacement material to refill or replace the container.

REFILLABLE DRINKING VESSEL

The refillable drinking vessel comprises a bottle, a bottle fitting structure, a base plate, and a fluid control structure. The base plate forms a fluidic connection between the bottle fitting structure and a pressurized fluid source. The bottle fitting structure forms a fluidic connection between the bottle and the base plate. The fluid control structure automatically controls the flow of fluid from the pressurized fluid source through the base plate and the bottle fitting structure into the bottle. The fluid control structure senses when the bottle is near the base plate. The fluid control structure measures and controls the amount of fluid contained in the bottle.

COLLAPSIBLE SECURITY CONTAINER FOR PACKAGES

A collapsible security container is disclosed. The collapsible security container comprises a collapsible box and a hinged-lid connected to the collapsible box. The collapsible box comprises a bottom panel: a front panel, a left side panel, a right side panel and a back panel connected to the bottom panel by fold lines along respective edges of the bottom panel, wherein the bottom panel, front panel, left side panel, right side panel and back panel define an interior compartment. A locking system secures the hinged-lid to the collapsible box. A strap is attached to the collapsible box. The strap has an attachment end that is attached to the collapsible box and a free end that terminates in a fastener or stopper for securing the security container about or to a structure such as a door or wall.

Injection molding a device such as a cable holder with an integrated wireless tagging foil

The disclosure relates to a method for injection-molding a device, in particular a cable tie, with an integrated wireless tag, comprising the method steps of a) putting a tagging foil with two main surfaces which are separated by an edge, into a mold cavity of an open mold, where the tagging foil is held in place by a supporting device; b) closing the mold; c) injecting an injection material into the mold cavity parts adjoining the two main surfaces of the tagging foil simultaneously and symmetrically with respect to a main extension plane of the tagging foil which is parallel to the two main surfaces of the tagging foil so as to simplify and speed up the manufacturing process of a device with an integrated wireless tag or label. The disclosure furthermore relates to a corresponding molding device as well as a corresponding device with an integrated wireless tag.

Blister package lid

A beverage system for making a beverage that includes a single-serve capsule and a beverage machine. The capsule has a cavity containing a beverage material; a flange; a cover fastened to a top side of the flange; and an individualization identifier on a bottom side of the flange. The beverage machine includes: a capsule receptacle having a wall structure to receive the capsule; an optical sensor/detector positioned outside of the wall structure to direct a beam through a portion of the wall structure to read the identifier; a pump that supplies water into the portion capsule only after the identifier is read by the sensor/detector; a mandrel to pierce the cover in a region that is offset from the central axis; and a seal that seals against the cover in a region between a peripheral edge of the flange and the region of the cover pierced by the mandrel.

RFID TAGS WITH SHIELDING STRUCTURE FOR INCORPORATION INTO MICROWAVABLE FOOD PACKAGING

RFID tags are provided for incorporation into the packaging of a microwavable food item, with the RFID tag being configured to be safely microwaved. The RFID tag includes an antenna defining a gap and configured to operate at a first frequency. An RFID chip is electrically coupled to the antenna across the gap. A shielding structure is electrically coupled to the antenna across the gap and overlays the RFID chip. The shielding structure includes a shield conductor and a shield dielectric at least partially positioned between the shield conductor and the RFID chip. The shielding structure is configured to limit the voltage across the gap when the antenna is exposed to a second frequency that is greater than first frequency. In additional embodiments, RFID tags are provided for incorporation into the packaging of a microwavable food item, with the RFID tag being configured to be safely microwaved. The RFID tag includes an RFID chip and an antenna electrically coupled to the RFID chip. The antenna may have a sheet resistance in the range of approximately 100 ohms to approximately 230 ohms, optionally with an optical density in the range of approximately 0.18 to approximately 0.29. Alternatively, or additionally, the antenna may be configured to fracture into multiple pieces upon being subjected to heating in a microwave oven. Alternatively, or additionally, the RFID tag may be incorporated in an RFID label that is secured to the package by a joinder material with a greater resistance than that of the antenna, such as a sheet resistance in the range of approximately 100 ohms to approximately 230 ohms.
