DENTAL DEVICE
Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods for a dental device that is configured to be worn on a user's finger, and inserted into the mouth of a patient. The dental device may be comprised of rigid and/or semi-rigid materials, wherein when dental device is inserted between an upper set and lower set of the patient's teeth, the dental device may maintain the patient's mouth in an open position.
Dental Bite Block
A dental bite block is provided. The dental bite block includes a body having a first end and a second end, an outer sidewall, and an inner sidewall. The body comprises an upper biting surface positioned within an upper channel and a lower biting surface within a lower channel. The outer sidewall and the inner sidewall extend past the upper and lower biting surfaces and define the upper channel and the lower channel, respectively. The upper channel and the lower channel are each able to receive a row of teeth therein. The dental bite block prevents the biting down and provides safe access to the interior of the mouth. A handle extends from the bite block and is releasably tethered to a toothbrush such that the teeth of the subject may be brushed when the teeth are received within the mouth of the subject.

METAL ORTHODONTIC MOUTH GAG
A metal orthodontic mouth gag is provided, which includes an upper supporting frame, a lower supporting frame, a supporting wing of a left molar area and a supporting wing of a right molar area. The upper supporting frame is a serpentine upper bent rod which is made by a thin steel wire being sequentially wound up and down, and the lower supporting frame is a serpentine lower bent rod which is made by a thin steel wire being sequentially wound up and down. The supporting wing of the left molar area includes a left C-shaped supporting rod and a left blocking supporting frame, and the supporting wing of the right molar area includes a right C-shaped supporting rod and a right blocking supporting frame. The blocking supporting frames are connected into the corresponding C-shaped supporting rods.
HEAD AND JAW IMMOBILIZATION DEVICE
Methods of immobilizing the head of a patient include heating a thermoplastic mask preform to a formable temperature, forming the thermoplastic mask over at least a mouth of the patient, and pushing a mouth receiving end of a bite piece into a portion of the thermoplastic mask preform that is positioned over the mouth of the patient, which moves the portion of the thermoplastic mask preform into the mouth of the patient. The methods also include allowing the thermoplastic mask preform to cool from the formable temperature, causing the portion of the thermoplastic mask moved into the mouth of the patient to harden.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING NOSEBLEEDS
A mouth insert for treating nosebleeds includes a main body and a bite tab. The bite tab removably engages the main body and is configured to move up and/or down vertically in order to adjust the height of the device. The main body includes a horizontally extending elongated portion, a center portion extending downward from a bottom surface of the elongated portion, and the center portion has a narrower width than the horizontally extending elongated portion. The elongated portion of the main body is shaped and dimensioned to be inserted into a buccal cavity of a user's mouth and to fit behind the user's upper lip and in front of the user's upper gums, and the center portion is shaped and dimensioned to be positioned only in front of the user's upper front teeth. The bite tab includes a horizontally extending portion and a vertically extending portion and the vertically extending portion is configured to removably engage the center portion of the main body and the horizontally extending portion includes a push-surface used for pushing the device upward in order to provide pressure to the user's nose.
MOUTHGUARD ASSEMBLY
A mouthguard assembly that includes a U-shaped body, a protective member, and a protective layer. The body includes a posterior wall, an anterior wall, and a middle bite portion disposed between the posterior wall and the anterior wall. The posterior wall and the anterior wall extend from the middle bite portion to define a groove. The protective member is at least partially embedded within the body, if not completely embedded within the body. The protective layer covers the teeth-side surface of the protective member. Also disclosed are methods for fabricating the mouthguard assembly.
