Child-resistant closure device for a container having a tapered neck portion

A child-resistant closure device for a rigid plastic container having a tapered neck section and method of manufacture. The device has a substantially circular neck and inner lid surface. The neck includes anchors which engage with nodes on the inner lid surface. The tapered section of the neck acts as a spring engaging the nodes with the anchors. The closure device may be engaged by rotating the lid in relation to the neck. To disengage the closure device a simultaneous downward and rotational force must be applied. The lid and the container, including the closure, can be blow molded at the same time or separately.

A laundry detergent pod dispensing container includes a container, a connector plate, a dispensing mechanism, and a locking mechanism. The dispensing mechanism includes a top rotor assembly, a central rod, a fluctuating plate, a plurality of springs, and a bottom rotor plate. The central rod concentrically traverses through the connector plate as the top rotor assembly and the bottom rotor plate are terminally attached to the central rod. The fluctuating plate is concentrically connected to the connector plate by the plurality of springs and positioned in between the top rotor assembly and the connector plate. The locking mechanism is integrated between the top rotor assembly and the fluctuating plate. The locking mechanism enables rotation of the bottom rotor plate that selects and dispenses the laundry detergent pods. The connector plate is circumferencely attached to a rim of the container thus secularly storing the laundry detergent pods within the container.

The technology disclosed herein includes a re-lockable, environmentally friendly packaging apparatus including an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and at least one locking mechanism configured to lock the inner sleeve inside the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the locking mechanism is an interior mechanism, which locks the inner sleeve in its entirety in the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the locking mechanism is an interior sliding mechanism, which permits the inner sleeve to move partially out of the outer sleeve. In some implementations, the inner sleeve includes a pull tab for removal of the inner sleeve from inside the outer sleeve.

Locking package

A package includes a tray and a sleeve. The tray is slidable within the inner cavity between a closed position and an open position. A side panel of the sleeve is provided with a rear locking slot. A resiliently deflectable locking tab extends from the tray. The locking tab and rear locking slot are shaped and positioned such that when the tray is seated in its closed position, the tray locking tab extends through the sleeve locking slot, locking the tray into position. Downward deflection of the locking tab causes it to be released from the rear locking slot.
