A tamper-evident closure (101) comprises a first portion (105, 106) and a second portion (102, 104) comprising a window (103) through which a view of the first portion (105, 106) is visible. The second portion (102, 104) is rotated relative to the first portion (105, 106) upon first opening of the tamper-evident closure (101), from a first position in which the first and second portions (105, 106; 102, 104) are in a first relative relation and a first view of the first portion (105, 106) is visible through the window (103), to a second position in which the first and second portions (105, 106; 102, 104) are in a second relative relation and a second, different view of the first portion (105, 106) is visible through the window (103). A locking mechanism irreversibly locks the first and second portions (105, 106; 102, 104) in the second relative relation.

Closure for a container and container with such a closure

The present invention relates to a closure for a container with a base element directly or indirectly attachable to a container, a flip-top lid attached to the base element by a hinge such that the flip-top lid can be moved between an opened and a closed position, and a tamper evident element for indicating whether the flip-top lid had been opened at least once by a user or not. The flip-top lid comprises a top cover element and an outer side wall extending therefrom. The tamper evident element is linearly movable between a first position and a second position, wherein the flip-top lid further comprises an inner side wall, which extends only around a part of the circumference of the closure, wherein at least parts of the inner side wall and at least parts of the outer side wall together form guidance means for enabling and controlling the linear movement.

Caps for containers or for spouts in particular for containing liquids, such as fruit juice and other similar drinks, are provided having highly visible guarantee seals. Such caps include an annular wall having a lower free rim which has a waved pattern. These features allow consumers to recognize immediately if the guarantee seal has been broken.

Tamper-evident closure

A tamper-evident closure is provided and comprises a body and a separate plug member. The body has a sidewall including screw thread formations for screwing the closure onto a screw threaded container neck and the plug member is locatable on the neck to seal it. The closure comprises a tamper-evident member at least part of which is movable from a first position to a second position when the closure is unscrewed from the neck for the first time and, in use, when the body is unscrewed the body moves axially with respect to the plug member to cause the tamper-evident member to move from the first to the second position.

Or relating to closures

A closure (910) comprising a base (912) and a lid (914), the base and lid being joined by a hinge arrangement (932) so that the lid is movable between a closed position and an open position, the hinge arrangement comprising a main hinge (981) and a separate auxiliary hinge (995), in which the lateral extent of the main hinge is greater than the lateral extent of the auxiliary hinge.

TAMPER-INDICATING CLOSURE
