REFUSE COLLECTION VEHICLE BODY WITH PENDULUM PACKER
A refuse collection vehicle body having a receiving hopper with a pendulum packer device mounted for arcuate movement therewithin, a tapered storage compartment for receiving refuse material from the receiving hopper, a tailgate assembly having a pneumatic mechanism for controlling the tailgate latch mechanism, and an ejection system for dumping the refuse material collected within the storage compartment, the storage compartment having a trough or channel associated with its top portion for housing the hydraulic cylinders associated with the pendulum packer device and the tailgate assembly, The hydraulic cylinder associated with the ejection system as well as the hydraulic tank and hydraulic fluid cooler associated with the vehicle body are all positioned over hazmat containment devices to contain any leakage from these components during normal operation. The tapered storage compartment is formed by joining two rectangular sheets of material to a pair of wedge shaped members.
SELF-DUMPING DUMPSTER
The present invention relates to a self-dumping dumpster and trailer assembly particularly suitable for hauling refuse and yard waste.
Bin for a rubbish collection vehicle with improved compaction
A system for compacting rubbish, including a frame having a front wall, a carrier to be moved in a forwards-backwards direction relative to the frame, an upper scoop pivotably mounted on the carrier about a first horizontal axis and having an upper face for milling rubbish, and a lower scoop pivotably mounted on the upper scoop about a second horizontal axis, and having a lower milling face rubbish. The upper and lower scoops are to take a downwardly deployed position when their respective milling faces face the front wall. The carrier is to be moved forwards when the upper and lower scoops are in deployed position, in such a way as to compact the rubbish between the milling faces and the front wall. In the deployed position, a projection of the upper milling face in a transverse plane has a surface greater than or equal to a projection of the lower milling face in the transverse plane.
REFUSE VEHICLE WITH MULTI-SECTION REFUSE EJECTOR
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body, a primary ejector, and an auxiliary ejector. The chassis includes a frame and a cab disposed at one end of the frame. The body includes a hopper portion and a storage portion. The width of the storage portion is greater than the width of the hopper portion. The auxiliary ejector has a width equal to the difference between the width of the storage portion and the width of the hopper portion. The primary ejector is selectively repositionable within the hopper portion and the storage portion of the body to at least one of compact refuse therein or eject refuse therefrom. The auxiliary ejector is selectively repositionable within the storage portion of the body to at least one of compact refuse therein and eject refuse therefrom in tandem with the primary ejector.
Collection and delivery vehicle
This invention includes embodiments which disclose a collection and delivery vehicle with a cab portion, a chassis and a container box. The container box includes a lift mechanism, a material storage area which may include multiple individual storage areas, some dual use, and a conveyor, auger or other desirable material handling mechanism to receive the material from bins and move it to the material storage area and/or storage containers from above.

REFUSE VEHICLE WITH MODULAR BODY COMPONENTS
A refuse vehicle with modular elements that permit the body of the refuse vehicle to be changed and expanded. The refuse vehicle that includes a chassis and a refuse containment body coupled to the chassis that defines a refuse compartment. The refuse containment body includes a hopper mating portion at a first end of the refuse compartment and configured to couple to a hopper for loading the refuse containment body and a containment wall mating portion at a second end of the refuse compartment and configured to couple to a containment member.
Rear loading refuse vehicle with a modular packer
A rear loading refuse vehicle includes a tailgate coupled to a rearward end of the body. The tailgate includes a modular refuse packing assembly removably mounted therein and configured to compact refuse received in a hopper into a storage chamber located in the body. The modular refuse packing assembly may include a frame supporting an actuator and a blade. The frame is removably coupled to the tailgate. The actuator is configured to move the blade between extended and retracted positions and thereby compact the refuse received in the hopper.
Refuse collection vehicle tailgate lock system
A locking assembly can achieve positive locking of a tailgate, by including a guideblock having a guide slot defined therein, a lockplate configured to be slidably received within the guide slot, and a clevis that is configured to operatively cooperate with the lockplate. A locking hook formed in the lockplate will capture a pin in the clevis to achieve the desired locking capabilities. A capture pin is removably coupled to the guideblock and positioned within a containment in the lockplate to control travel. An actuator is coupled at one end to a portion of the vehicle and at the other end to the lockplate in a manner to cause movement of the lockplate and subsequent movement of the tailgate in an opening direction. The actuator is further configured to cause the tailgate to move in a closing direction until reaching a closed position and then moving the lockplate from an unlocked position to a locked position, thus causing the locking hook to capture the pin in the clevis and further causing the tailgate to be positively locked.
