The present disclosure discloses a mandibular advancement device for preventing sleep apnea that moves a mandible forward to prevent sleep apnea. The mandibular advancement device includes: a first hook to which a first end of an elastic member providing a mandible traction force for advancing the mandible can be connected and that supports the elastic member; an upper frame that can be mounted on upper teeth to distribute a traction support force, which is applied to the first hook by the elastic member, to a maxilla; a second hook to which a second end of the elastic member can be connected and that transmits the mandible traction force applied by the elastic member to the mandible at a distal location in comparison to the first hook; and a lower frame that can be mounted on lower teeth under the upper frame to distribute the mandible traction force, which is applied to the second hook, to the mandible.

ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCE FOR MALOCCLUSION CORRECTION
20230149132 · 2023-05-18 · ·

An orthodontic device having an anchor plate with holes for receiving screws to attach the anchor plate to the patient's maxilla or mandible, and a jaw displacer with a spring exerting an axial biasing force to reposition the mandible for malocclusion correction. A ball-and-socket connector is used to removably attach one end of the jaw displacer to the anchor plate. A second connector removably secures the second end of the jaw displacer to the other of the patient's mandible and maxilla.

COMPUTER SYSTEM-AIDED DESIGN OF DENTAL APPLIANCES
20170367792 · 2017-12-28 ·

A method includes receiving, with a computer system, a digital representation of a 3D tooth structure providing initial positions of one or more teeth of a patient, determining dimensions and shapes of a removable dental appliance, the dimensions and shapes being configured to reposition the one or more teeth from their initial positions to adjusted positions when the dental appliance is worn, and transmitting a representation of the dental appliance to a computer-aided manufacturing system. The dental appliance includes an appliance body configured to surround two or more teeth of the patient with a facial portion configured to register with facial sides of the surrounded teeth, and a lingual portion configured to register with lingual sides of the surrounded teeth. The appliance body is configured such that occlusal surfaces of the surrounded teeth of the patient are exposed when the removable dental appliance is worn by the patient.

SHELL-LIKE ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCE, DESIGN METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME, ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCE SET AND SYSTEM

A shell-like orthodontic appliance includes a shell-like body provided with a cavity accommodating a plurality of maxillary teeth. A sagittal adjustment portion is provided at a lingual side in an anterior region of the shell-like body. The sagittal adjustment portion is configured to adjust a maxillomandibular position relationship while at least to partially offset deformation of the shell-like body caused by occlusion, and the sagittal adjustment portion is at least partially connected to the lingual side in the anterior region of the shell-like body. The sagittal adjustment portion has a geometric structure configured to stabilize a maxillomandibular occlusion relationship and reduce a deformation of the shell-like body caused by occlusion while to adjust positions of teeth in a mandibular anterior region relative to a maxilla upward to target occlusion positions in a sagittal direction.

Methods for direct fabrication of attachment placement appliances

Methods for fabricating attachment placement appliances are provided. In some embodiments, a method includes directly fabricating an attachment placement appliance body including a support formed in a tooth-receiving cavity configured to receive a tooth. The method can include directly fabricating one or more coupling structures connected to the support, and directly fabricating an aligner attachment connected to the one or more coupling structures. The attachment placement appliance body can be configured to align the aligner attachment to a predetermined location on the tooth. The aligner attachment can be shaped to engage with an attachment well of a shell aligner and exert one or more forces on the tooth when the aligner attachment is coupled to the attachment well. The one or more coupling structures can be configured to release the aligner attachment with removal of the attachment placement appliance body from the tooth.
