The abutment comprises: a main body provided with the indicator and with means for connection to the implant, and means for fixing to the implant formed by a fixing shaft and by an upper head, the lower end of the shaft being a threaded end provided with a thread cutting complementary to the internal cutting of the threaded hole of the implant. The main body is configured for housing and longitudinally displacing the fixing shaft therethrough, the threaded lower end of the shaft being able to be immersed in the interior of the main body or project from the lower section thereof, the complete removal of the fixing shaft by simple longitudinal displacement being prevented by mechanical stop.

Healing cap with scannable features

The disclosure of the present application relates to a healing abutment system and its use. The abutment system can include a base part adapted to be coupled to a dental implant via an abutment screw and a healing cap that can be coupled to the base part by a further screw. The healing cap can include features that can be scanned by an intra-oral scanning system or transferred to a physical impression to convey information regarding the position and orientation of the base part.

Methods for placing an implant analog in a physical model of the patient's mouth

A method of placing a dental implant analog in a physical model for use in creating a dental prosthesis is provided. The physical model, which is usually based on an impression of the patient's mouth or a scan of the patient's mouth, is prepared. The model is scanned. A three-dimensional computer model of the physical model is created and is used to develop the location of the dental implant. A robot then modifies the physical model to create an opening for the implant analog. The robot then places the implant analog within the opening at the location dictated by the three-dimensional computer model.

Screwless dental implant connection

A dental restoration system is disclosed. A dental restoration system includes an implant, retention component, dental component and driver tool. The retention component is sealable in a retention chamber of the implant. The retention component includes a driver section for interfacing with a driving head of the driver tool and a dental component engagement section with a threaded surface. The dental component includes a retention component interface surface with threads. The dental component engages the retention component via the threaded surface interlocking with the threads of the retention component interface surface when the dental component is inserted in the implant. The driver tool is used to rotate the retention component to engage the dental component apically. The retention component contacts the retention component wall and the dental component contacts an annular shoulder of the implant when the dental component is fully attached to the implant.

Improved dental models for use in dental procedures are provided. In one aspect, a unitary dental model of an intraoral cavity of a patient having a dental implant comprises a physical surface representative of gingival tissue of the patient. The model can comprise a channel shaped and oriented to receive an abutment corresponding to a physical abutment to be connected to the dental implant, in which the channel extends to an opening in the physical surface. The channel can comprise a first portion shaped to receive and constrain a corresponding structure of the abutment to a position and orientation and a second portion shaped to receive a fastener to couple the abutment to the unitary dental model. In many embodiments, the first portion comprises a shoulder shaped to receive the corresponding structure of the abutment in order to position the abutment along the channel.

A transfer part for removable attachment and handling of a dental implant, the transfer part including a body portion having a longitudinal axis and including a traversing hole along the longitudinal axis, a center portion arranged in the traversing hole of the body portion, and a fastening mechanism for reversibly securing the transfer part to the dental implant, wherein the center portion and the body portion are configured for a relative motion between each other to switch from a first position to a second position and vice versa, wherein in the first position, the fastening mechanism is in a released state to allow a removal of the transfer part from the dental implant, and in the second position, the fastening mechanism is in an engaged state to allow a securing of the transfer part to the dental implant.

Apparatus and methods of making denture devices

The present application describes an implant-supported denture device and a method for designing and manufacturing an implant-supported denture device for a patient. A method is described for designing a virtual denture and manufacturing an implant-supported functional fitting replica denture from the virtual denture. An apparatus comprising a functional fitting replica denture is prepared having denture teeth having a fit substantially similar to the final denture. The methods and apparatus described herein reduce the number of visits required to manufacture the final denture.

An impression taker captures an impression of preparation cut in abutment teeth. The impression taker includes; a rigid body supporting a first arm and a second arm. The first arm has a first longitudinal end configured to take an impression of a preparation cut in a first abutment tooth, and the second arm has a second longitudinal end configured to take an impression in a second abutment tooth. In addition, a reinforcement combination supports a dental bridge and an elongate proximal bar supports a dental bridge. The impression taker and the reinforcement bar combination can be used to produce a direct dental bridge.

Positioning method and system for implant-supported dentures

An implant-supported denture placement and alignment system may include a denture apparatus. The denture apparatus may have a denture base and a denture base positioning system. The denture base may be connectable to implants. Moreover, the denture base positioning system may position the denture base in substantially the same position as a surgical guide used to place the implants. In this manner, the denture apparatus may be positioned so that it is mountable to the implants placed according to the surgical guide following their placement in a patient's mouth. In this manner, variations in the placement of the implants arising during the process of installing the implants may be compensated by transferring the actual implant positioning to the denture apparatus when it is positioned by the denture base positioning system.
