System and process and for replicating soft tissue anatomy using a for implant supported fixed prostheses using 3D printed multi-purpose prototype
A process for replicating soft tissue anatomy of a dental patient prior to preparing an implant-supported fixed prosthesis is disclosed. The process may include: securing an interim prosthesis intra-orally in the dental patient for a predetermined time, after implants of the dental patient are osseointegrated, to evaluate the interim prosthesis based on a plurality of parameters within the mouth of the dental patient; printing a three-dimensional printed-resin prototype having an intaglio surface based on the evaluated interim prosthesis; attaching the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype into the implants; and injecting a low viscosity elastomeric impression material between the intaglio surface of the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype and the soft tissue of the dental patient to obtain a soft tissue replica for preparing the implant-supported fixed prosthesis.
DENTAL MEASURING ABUTMENT AND ASSEMBLY
According to some embodiments of the invention there is provided a dental measuring assembly comprising: an elongated stem defining a longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end of the stem; a measuring abutment configured to be received over the proximal end of said stem and to axially slide over the stem; wherein a distal segment of the stem comprises scale markings denoting a height of a distal end of the measuring abutment relative to the stem. In some embodiments, a plurality of measuring abutments are provided, each abutment defining a different angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the stem.
Analogs for Dental Restorations
Advantageous dental analogs for dental restorations and related methods of use are provided. The present disclosure provides improved analog members for use in fabricating dental implant-supported restorations, and related methods of use. More particularly, the present disclosure provides advantageous systems/methods for the design and use of protection analog members configured to protect cuff portions of coping members during the fabrication of dental restorations. The improved analog members include an added vertical rim or collar to contact and/or protect the cuff portion of coping members when an end of the analog member is screwed/mounted into place into an end of the coping member. This way, the resin added during fabrication will not contact/adhere to the cuff portion allowing a proper seating of the finished fixed implant-supported prosthesis. Use of the improved analog member also can eliminate scratches/damage to the cuff portion (e.g., during trimming and polishing).
Method of creating an accurate bone and soft-tissue digital dental model
A method of creating a 3-D anatomic digital model for determining a desired location for placing at least one dental implant in a patient's mouth. The method comprises the act of obtaining a first dataset associated with hard tissue of the patient's mouth. The method further comprises the act of obtaining a second dataset associated with soft tissue of the patient's mouth. The method further comprises the act of combining the first dataset and the second dataset to create a detailed structure of hard tissue and soft tissue having variable dimensions over the hard tissue.
SCREW-ATTACHED PICK-UP DENTAL COPING SYSTEM, METHODS AND ACCESSORIES
A temporary alignment system, methods, and accessories for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using a separable fastener using the same threads in the implant abutment used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an implant abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the implant abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods and accessories for using the separable fastener assembly or portions of it during conversion of an existing prosthesis for screw attachment or fabrication and fitting of a new prosthesis are described.
Reference member for determining a position of an implant analog
A reference member for determining a position of an implant analog can comprise a trapezoidal body including a first side and a substantially parallel second side. The first side can define a first dimension and the second side can define a second dimension that is greater than the first dimension.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIES USEFUL FOR PROCEDURES RELATING TO DENTAL IMPLANTS
A method and system are provided for manufacturing a physical dental model. A virtual model is provided representative of at least a portion of the intra-oral cavity including at least one dental implant implanted therein, and the virtual model includes a virtual portion representative of each dental implant. The virtual spatial disposition of each such virtual portion is determined with respect to the virtual model, corresponding to a real spatial disposition of the respective implant with respect to the intra oral cavity. A physical model is then manufactured based on the virtual model, the physical model including a physical analog corresponding to each implant at a respective physical spatial disposition with respect to the physical model corresponding to the respective virtual spatial disposition of the respective virtual portion with respect to the first virtual model as already determined. In some embodiments, a jig is provided configured for maintaining a desired physical spatial disposition between the physical analog and a cavity of the physical dental model at least until the physical analog is affixed in the cavity.
DETERMINING POSITION AND ORIENTATION OF A DENTAL IMPLANT
Method for determining a position and an orientation of a dental implant includes scanning a surface of a scan body connected to the implant wherein a plurality of data points is determined which correspond to positions of points that are located on the surface of the scan body. The method further included reconstructing at least three planes based on the data points, reconstructing intersection information of the reconstructed planes, where the intersection information includes the reconstruction of straight intersection lines and of intersection points, and determining the position and the orientation of the implant based on the reconstructed intersection information.
ASCERTAINING THE SPATIAL POSITIONS AND ORIENTATIONS OF IMPLANTS ANCHORED IN A JAW OF A PATIENT
A method is proposed for ascertaining the spatial positions and orientations of at least two implants (120) anchored in a jaw of a patient, said method having the following steps: 1. An adhesive bond aid (100) is produced that bridges the implants and has negative molds (140) of adhesive caps (110), wherein the negative molds fit on the adhesive caps if these are affixed to the implants, and wherein the negative molds allow a clearance relative to the adhesive caps. 2. The adhesive caps are affixed to the at least two implants in the jaw of the patient. 3. The adhesive bond aid is positioned over the adhesive caps. 4. The clearance between the adhesive caps and the negative molds is filled with adhesive. 5. The adhesive is cured. 6. The adhesive caps are released from the implants. 7. The obtained adhesion key is removed from the patient. Using this adhesion key, in the production of restorations that rest upon multiple implants, it can be ensured that the implant arrangement is correctly transferred into the mouth of the patient.
Dental implant system
A screw type dental implant system (1), having a dental implant fixture (2), a multifunctional component (3) and an abutment screw (4). The screw shape dental implant fixture has an external surface having buttress threads on the body and micro threads at the collar. This combination provides the advantages of: improved biomechanics at the implant abutment interface, self-tapping nature to the implant, and minimizing the stresses at the crest of the bone leading to decrease resorption of crestal bone. The multifunctional component serves the purposes of implant mount, impression analog and final abutment and has a single prosthetic platform so one component is compatible with different implant dimensions, which minimizes the inventory needed for the implant system and allows easy handling of the system. The multifunctional component also has an external concave transmucosal portion for enhancing the emergence profile and internal threads for securing the abutment screw.
