A three-dimensional digital jaw model and a definition of tooth positions is received. The tooth positions comprise one or more target tooth positions for one or more artificial teeth. The three-dimensional digital jaw model is overlaid with a three-dimensional digital corrugated surface. The overlaying comprises adjusting a waveform of the corrugation with local minima and maxima, such that the local minima are arranged at the positions of the teeth, while the local maxima are arranged between the positions of the teeth. The three-dimensional digital guide model is generated using the three-dimensional digital corrugated surface with the adjusted waveform.
