The present invention is directed to a waste packaging system, a method of storing waste and to a film for use in this system and method.

A waste disposal system with a compact footprint. The waste disposal system device accepts a cassette having a length of tubular liner film. The waste disposal device and cassette can have similar cross-sectional geometry. The waste disposal device and/or cassette comprise a first wall, a second wall, and a first included angle defined therebetween between about sixty and about one-hundred twenty degrees.

A container with a moulded bag dispenser and a moulded bag sealer is disclosed. The bag sealer includes a roll of adhesive tape and a rotatable star wheel having a number of radial recesses at equal angular distances for receiving an article to be bound with tape, and a peripheral surface.

Embodiments relate to the technical field of waste collection, in particular to waste collection equipment, which includes a temporary storage tank, a pressing tank and a pressing mechanism; the temporary storage tank is configured for receiving and temporarily storing wastes produced by die cutting equipment; the pressing tank is configured for carrying the wastes in the temporary storage tank; the pressing mechanism is configured for compressing the wastes in the pressing tank; the temporary storage tank is provided with a first blanking port, which is configured for communicating the temporary storage tank with the pressing tank; the first blanking port is provided with a first valve; and the first valve is configured for opening or closing the first blanking port to control whether the temporary storage tank discharges the wastes.

A waste storage device is provided comprising a waste storage compartment for storing waste and a lid. The device further comprises a dispenser for dispensing an agent inside the waste storage device and an actuator arranged to activate the dispenser. A waste cartridge is also provided comprising a relatively rigid upper portion and a relatively flexible lower portion. The relatively flexible lower portion is arranged for storing waste items and the relatively rigid upper portion is arranged to be folded about an axis in a direction substantially towards the relatively flexible lower portion of the waste cartridge.

One embodiment provides a portable waste containment apparatus, including: a main body; the main body comprising one or more sealable containers, each of the one or more sealable containers having an inner diameter; the main body comprising one or more inner walls segregating the one or more sealable containers from each of the other one or more sealable containers; and one or more lids for each of the one of more sealable containers, wherein the one or more lids seal the corresponding one or more sealable containers. A waste containment or disposal device is provided comprising a sleeve source for providing a continuous flexible sleeve, a sealing mechanism for permanently sealing a segment of the continuous flexible sleeve, and a feed mechanism for advancing a length of the continuous flexible sleeve past the sealing mechanism. Upon placement of waste in a segment of the continuous flexible sleeve having a closed end advanced past the sealing mechanism by the feed mechanism, the sealing mechanism permanently seals the segment of the flexible sleeve. Also provided is a method for containing or disposing of waste.

A mobile cart that holds a bag for receiving solid waste generated during a medical or surgical procedure. The cart includes a sensor that monitors whether or not an object containing metal is placed in the bag. A processor monitors the signal output by the sensor. If the sensor signal indicates that an object with a minimal amount of metal is placed in the bag, the processor momentarily asserts an audible alarm and continuously asserts a light alarm. The light alarm remains asserted until turned off. If, while the light alarm is on, the sensor signal indicates a second object with the minimal amount of waste is placed in the container, the processor again momentarily asserts the audible alarm. This provides notice that it may be necessary to investigate the contents of the bag to determine if not one but two or more objects were inadvertently discarded.

A recycling bag and a method for incorporating the bag into a recycling program are provided. The bag and method include a resealable bag including a tamper evident seal having a unique identifier. The unique identifier is associated with a user. The recyclable contents of the bag are appraised and a valuation metric are assigned to the user upon recycling.
