The inner valve is closed when the outer valve is opened, and the inner valve is opened when the outer valve is closed.

The valve is selectively coupled to a vacuum thereby facilitating air to be drawn out of the bag such that the bag is collapsed to a minimum size. A closure is coupled to the bag and the closure is selectively manipulated. The closure selectively closes the bag to retain the yard waste in the bag. Moreover, the closure forms a fluid impermeable seal to inhibit air from entering and escaping the bag.

A device is for compressing waste. The device includes: a waste bag suspension member formed with an upper portion around which an opening of a flexible waste bag may be spanned; a lid movable between an open position, wherein waste may be added to a waste bag through the upper portion of the waste bag suspension member, and a closed position, wherein the lid covers the upper portion of the waste bag suspension member so that an at least partially closed volume may be formed between the lid and the waste bag; and a suction member adapted to evacuate air from the at least partially closed volume. The lid is perforated so that the suction device may evacuate the air through the perforation(s) in the lid. There is also disclosed a system for compressing waste as well as a method for operating the system.

The cover is airtight, is profiled in such that evacuation with a controller, a pump and a valve are fixedly integrated in at least one recess in the cover and the cover has at least one air channel leading into the inside of the cover or, respectively, into the at least one recess, with the air channel operatively connected to the evacuation system such that when the cover is placed onto the drawer, air from the interior can be pumped out of the interior, the inside of the cover interior or, respectively, the at least one recess through the air duct.

The docking station and the trolley mate with each other. The docking station includes another suction port that is couplable to a suction line in the vehicle and the first suction port.
