Dental implant and abutment tools

A dental restoration system is disclosed including an implant for attachment to a jaw bone of a patient. The implant includes a cylindrical body having an interior bore formed between a distal end and a proximal end. An abutment includes an interior bore formed through the stem and the post and an interface section interfacing with the abutment interface of the dental implant. An abutment removal insert has a cylindrical end insertable into a groove formed in the interior bore of the abutment. An abutment removal tool screw is insertable within the abutment removal insert. The abutment removal tool screw includes a grip and an opposite end. The opposite end causes the abutment removal insert to contact the abutment. The grip is rotatable to cause the opposite end to create force against the implant to cause the abutment to be detached from the implant.

Dental implant systems and methods for accessing intra cavity areas therethrough

A method and a dental implant system for accessing selected intra-cavity locations there-through that includes: (a) a dental implant having a plurality of openings configured for being implanted in an intra-cavity area of a patient, wherein each one of the plurality of openings allows access from an external area of the dental implant to a space in the intra-cavity area between the implant and a jawbone of the patient, when the dental implant is installed in the intra cavity; and (b) one or more directing element that is removably securable to the dental implant, wherein the directing element includes openings and is configured to allow access to one or more specific locations at this space through a selected at least one of the plurality of openings of the dental implant, when secured thereto.

An implant device has an exterior portion forming an exterior surface of the implant. The exterior portion is made of a porous material defining passages through the exterior portion. An inner portion has an outer surface with a treated area that is accessible from the exterior surface through the passages. The treated area has a treatment for direct attachment to bone or soft tissue.

PASSIVE FIT OF IMPLANT BRIDGES AND IMPLANT BARS BY MEANS OF A CAD/CAM TOOL FOR THE MODEL-FREE CREATION OF IMPLANT-SUPPORTED RESTORATIONS
20180042707 · 2018-02-15 · ·

The invention relates to a specimen part (1) for creating a stress-free fit, a so-called passive fit, of implant-supported and/or abutment-supported bridges (2) and bars (3) by means of a CAD/CAM tool for the creation of restorations (5), and to a method for creating a restoration from a digital model (15) of a patient's jaw provided with at least two implants and/or abutments, wherein the model (15) is determined by means of an intraoral scan (14). In order to improve the precision of restorations and to shorten the production process, provision is made that the specimen part (1) per implant (4) and/or abutment has a scannable structure (6), preferably at a defined distance (7) and angle (8) to the implant (4) and/or abutment. In the method according to the invention, a specimen part (1) is produced from the model (15) by means of CAD/CAM, the specimen part (1) is checked in terms of its dimensional match to at least two implants (4) and/or abutments and if necessary is corrected, the specimen part (1) is scanned, and a digital model (15) of the optionally altered specimen part (1) is generated, which model is used to generate a restoration (16) manufactured by CAD/CAM.

DENTAL IMPLANT

An implant, particularly a dental implant is provided, having an anchoring region (12) for anchoring in a bone, which preferably includes a thread (14) for screwing in the bone, and a fastening region (22) for attaching a supra-construction, wherein an abutment region (16) adjoins the anchoring region (12), the abutment region (16) having a guide structure with a plurality of outwardly projecting ridges (18) provided thereon, and preferably, grooves (20) being formed between the ridges (20). The guide structure of the anchoring region (12) allows a better osseointegration and counteracts periimplant bone loss.

FULCRUM IMPLANT SYSTEMS

A dental implant device configured as a single, solid, unitary structure, including a body portion, multiplicity of wedging edge portion, and an apical end portion, wherein the implant device is configured to be installed in a patient's mandibular or maxillary bone. The apical end portion is configured to be beveled on a multiplicity of sides. The apical end portion may also include a joining surface, the joining surface has a saw-like serration pattern, a generally jagged pattern, or a smooth pointed edge to aid in locking the implant device to the maxilla or mandible to achieve initial stability and mechanical retention. The apical end portion may further include a multiplicity of generally circular holes to generally aid bone growth and facilitate stronger osseointegration. The dental implant comprises a biocompatible material including zirconia or titanium alloy. A minimum of 5 mm of the apical end portion would be inserted into the bone.

Bone implant and systems that controllably releases silver

Silver and/or zinc ion releasing implants, systems and method of operating, inserting and activating/inactivating them are described. In some variations the implant is configured as a bone implant that includes a bone-screw or intramedullary rod like body configured to receive a treatment cartridge having a plurality of ion-releasing members configured as an anode that can controllably engage with a catheter to turn galvanic release of ions on/off as desired. These devices may be configured to release silver ions (and/or zinc ions) above a predetermined level for a predetermined period of time and may maintain a concentration of ions over a relatively large volume of tissue. The ion-releasing members may be configured to reduce or prevent implant movement.
