DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLIES, ANGLED IMPLANT ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE

Dental attachment assemblies for a mouth of a patient are provided. Contemplated dental attachment assemblies may include an abutment member, and a retention member for attachment to the abutment member. The retention member may comprise an upper end and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end for fixed, non-patient removable, fixed engagement over an outer locating surface of the abutment member. The retention member can be constructed from a rigid material, such as PEEK, such that it provides a retentive force of about 10 to 75 pounds. The abutment member may be configured for attachment to an implant having an upper portion including a threaded portion configured to screw into a threaded recess of an abutment, and a lower portion including an angled platform and a threaded post extending from the platform.

Retention die and dental implant system

The invention relates to an apparatus for releasable attachment of a removable dental prosthesis to a head part of an implant or of an abutment that can be anchored in an implant, comprising a retention matrix (1) having a receptacle that accommodates a circular-ring-shaped retention element (2) that has at least two clamping arms (22), which is disposed so as to be displaceable along a center axis of the retention matrix (1), wherein the at least two clamping arms (22) form a mantle surface that widens conically toward the outside, and that the receptacle for the retainer element (2) has two sections (14, 15) having a different inside diameter, against the transition of which the at least two clamping arms (22) lie. The invention furthermore relates to a dental implant system, having such an apparatus.

DENTAL ALL-CERAMIC RESTORATION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
20170231730 · 2017-08-17 ·

A dental all-ceramic restoration and manufacturing method thereof; the outer surface of the dental all-ceramic restoration has neither visible marks remaining from the removal of the connecting bars (7) nor local grinding traces and chipping, and is smooth with uniform structure. The manufacturing method thereof is wet-forming or milling. No connecting bars are needed to connect the dental restoration bodies (3) with a surrounding mould blank or ceramic blank. This eliminates the need for manually cutting off the connecting bars (7) to separate the forming body from the surrounding ceramic blank, further grinding and polishing process to treat the excessively rough outer surface, and thereby reducing the risk of chipping and premature failure. In the manufacturing processes thereof, the hardened ceramic green body (2) made by wet-forming technique has more homogenous microstructure and less particle packing defects than the dry-pressed blanks and partially sintered blanks. Furthermore, higher surface smoothness can be obtained by milling unsintered hardened ceramic green body than by milling partially sintered blanks. The dental all-ceramic restoration has a high degree of surface finish, and can be directly used without polishing, veneering or glazing.
