DISPOSABLE OIL CHANGE KIT
20200062483 · 2020-02-27 ·

A disposable liquid disposal tool is provided for collecting liquids and for changing engine oil or other hydrocarbon containing products whereby the liquid, spent oil, or hydrocarbon is encapsulated in a non-biodegradable substance rendering the kit safe for disposal in a non-hazard or controlled substance landfill. A disposable container insert tray may be composed of rows of conical shaped protrusions that are used to channel the liquid to all levels of the container so that liquids can be exposed to the maximum surface area of the non-biodegradable substance for total encapsulation. In embodiments, the top of the liquid disposal container may be covered with an open weave fabric material that acts as a diffuser whereby the liquid materials are spread more equally throughout the confines of the container and on to the surface of the tray insert.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WASTE DISPOSAL

Provided in this disclosure is a waste management system including a receptacle having an interior volume for receiving waste liquid. A diffuser unit is configured to be inserted and retained within the interior volume of the receptacle. The diffuser unit includes a top section, a bottom section, and a central column spanning the interior volume of the receptacle and defining a fluid channel between the top section and bottom section of the diffuser unit. A plurality of apertures are formed along surfaces of the top section, the bottom section, and/or the central column, for establishing a fluid connection between the fluid channel and the interior volume of the receptacle for the waste liquid to flow. Solidification components are retained within the interior volume of the receptacle. The solidification components are selected to absorb and neutralize components of the waste liquid into a chemically stable solid.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a collection container having a cover affixed to the top of the collection container. A mouth opens through the cover permitting access to the interior of the collection container. A lidded enclosure surrounds the mouth, and a screen may be secured within the lidded enclosure to selectively permit access through the mouth while preventing theft of the contents of the collection container.

An in-ground apparatus includes a receptacle and a liner into which the receptacle can be placed and removed. The liner may be a molded plastic liner having a tapering body to permit stacking. The lower margin includes a set of seats for anchor fittings in the form of re-bar prongs that, when installed, extend radially outwardly from the liner. The seats, and hence the prongs, are located upwardly of the bottom edge of the liner so that they are embedded above and below when concrete is poured around the bottom of the liner. The receptacle is formed to contain liquids, such as used cooking oil and hot grease. It has a heating element wrapped around the receptacle, and insulation between the receptacle and the liner. There is an internally concealed pump-out with a swiveling access fitting.

Device for Storing Used Oil, Grease and Fat

A device for storing used oil, grease, and fat is disclosed. A disposable bag, holding the used oil, grease, and fat, also contains a plant-based solidifying blend in tablet or paste form. A heat-resistant container holds the bag, and includes a lid to prevent spills, a handle, and slots, used to secure the bag along with its contents. The solidifying blend causes the oil to solidify after coming into contact with the oil.
