A sanitary product disposal container includes a container housing having a movable housing top cover, a movable housing bottom cover, and a sensor. A cover actuating mechanism may operably engage the housing top cover to actuate the housing top cover between open and closed positions. The sensor may operably interface with the cover actuating mechanism to facilitate deployment of the housing top cover between the open and closed positions responsive to sensing the presence of a person in proximity to the container housing. Accordingly, a used feminine hygiene product may be placed in the interior space of the container housing in the open position of the housing top cover without having to touch the container housing in order to open the housing top cover. The housing bottom cover may be selectively opened to facilitate removal of the used feminine hygiene products from the interior space.

Receptacle assemblies with motion dampers

Various embodiments of receptacle assemblies, such as trash cans, are disclosed. In some embodiments, the receptacle assembly includes a body portion with an interior space. The receptacle assembly can include a lid portion configured to move between an open position and a closed position. The receptacle assembly can include a pedal portion operably connected with the lid such that moving the pedal portion moves the lid portion between the open position and the closed position. The receptacle assembly can include a motion damper configured to dampen motion of the lid portion. The motion damper can be positioned near a front of the body portion and/or above a front portion of the pedal portion.

A trashcan assembly can include a body portion, a lid portion pivotably coupled with the body portion, and a sensor assembly configured to generate a signal when an object is detected within a sensing region. The sensor assembly can include a plurality of transmitters having a first subset of transmitters and a second subset of transmitters. A transmission axis of at least one transmitter in the first subset of transmitters can be different from a transmission axis of at least one of the transmitters in the second subset of transmitters. An electronic processor can generate an electronic signal to a power-operated drive mechanism for moving the lid portion from a closed position to an open position, such as in response to the sensor assembly detecting the object.

A waste receptacle may include a frame, vertical arm supports, panel inserts, and fasteners. The frame may include vertical arms spaced apart from one another and window openings, each window opening defined between an adjacent pair of the vertical arms. The vertical arm supports may be spaced apart from one another, each vertical arm support fixedly secured to one of the vertical arms and defining a pair of channels between the vertical arm support and the one of the vertical arms. The panel inserts may be removably secured with respect to the frame, each panel insert removably received within two of the channels and partially exposed through one of the window openings. Each fastener may be configured to move between an engaged position preventing removal of one of the panel inserts from the respective channels and a disengaged position allowing removal of the one of the panel inserts from the respective channels.

The inside of the peripheral compartment contains a removable partition that exits from the bottom of the receptacle by way of a mounted lower closure to enable the removal of the inside bin containing the filled waste bag. The removable partition is assembled having an opening at the top without a closure and a closed bottom area. Perforated holes are located on the exterior rear of the outside receptacle to allow secure wall or fixture mounting.
