AUTOMATIC DENSE WAREHOUSE APPARATUS
An automatic dense warehouse apparatus includes a rack and a number of goods containers supported on the rack. The rack defines at least one fixed goods-picking location. Each of the goods containers is supported on the rack for movement relative to the rack, and the goods-picking location is defined on a movement path of the goods containers.
ARRANGEMENTS AND METHODS FOR RENTING KAYAKS
Storage arrangements for renting kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes and methods for renting kayaks and canoes are provided. The storage arrangements include a set of compartments. Each of the compartments in the set include elongated support members extending in a direction of elongation; perforated barriers extending between at least two of the elongated support members forming an opening at a first end, the opening adapted to receive a kayak or a canoe, and an opening at a second end of elongated support members; a barrier over the opening at the second end; and a displaceable cover mounted over the opening at the first end. In one aspect, the storage arrangement includes a mechanism adapted to releasably engage each of the plurality of compartments from an adjacent compartment. Methods for renting kayaks, paddle boards, and/or canoes are also provided.
ADJUSTABLE STORAGE SYSTEMS, ADJUSTABLE STORAGE RECEPTACLES, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USING THE SAME
Adjustable storage systems, adjustable storage receptacles, and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. In one aspect, an adjustable storage system includes a plurality of adjustable storage receptacles, each of which may include a housing, an opening/closing mechanism, and an expansion mechanism. The expansion mechanism may be operable to increase or decrease an interior storage volume of the associated storage receptacle, enabling greater flexibility in storing objects of different shapes and sizes, relative to a fixed-size or fixed-geometry storage receptacle. In additional aspects, a method of using an adjustable storage receptacle and a method of using an adjustable storage system are provided, and further, a method of manufacturing an adjustable storage receptacle and a method of manufacturing an adjustable storage system are provided.

A shelving assembly includes a frame having a number of sides, the frame configured to be affixed to a surface and a deck disposed on top of the frame. A first side is configured to absorb a force of impact of an object striking the first side of the frame while preventing deformation of the frame.
LIFT BEAM SYSTEM
A system for handling shipping containers having first and second lift beams, first and second support beams, and a plurality of vertical beams wherein the plurality of vertical beams are connected by the first and second lift beams and the first and second support beams. The system further includes first and second pluralities of lifting pads disposed respectively on each of the first and second lift beams wherein the lifting pads of the first and second pluralities are arranged to have an initial position recessed within the respective lift beam on which each lifting pad is disposed and the lifting pads of the first and second pluralities are arranged to have a deployed position distal to the respective lift beam on which each lifting pad is disposed. Further still, the system has first and second pluralities of swivel feet disposed respectively on each of the first and second support beams and a lift beam driving mechanism that raises and lowers the first and second lift beams.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR ITEM MANAGEMENT
Item-management systems, apparatus, and methods are described, preferably for management of items such as medicaments. In embodiments, an item-management system comprises a container defining plural cells, a docking station configured to receive the container, sources of visible information to indicate the cell(s) into which an item is to be loaded, and at least one controller operable to control the visible information sources to indicate the cell into which the item is to be received.
