IMPLANT PLACEMENT TREPHINE, PREPACKAGED AND SIZED IMPLANT / TREPHINE KIT, AND METHODS OF USE
An implant placement trephine may be used to drill into bone and also to bore a core of bone for purposes of forming an implant channel for implant placement. The trephine generally includes a trephine body with a cutting blade at one end and a spindle extending through the trephine body with a pilot drill at one end extending beyond the cutting blade. The spindle may be adjustably attached to the trephine body to allow the pilot drill to be adjusted relative to the trephine cutting blade. The trephine may be prepackaged with an implant, such as a dental implant, having a corresponding size. The implant placement trephine may be used for different osteotomy applications, for example, to form a channel for dental implants or orthopedic retaining stabilizers. The trephine may also facilitate harvesting bone from the core of bone removed for an autograft at the implant site.
Universal digital dental implant scanning code and method
A universal digital implant scanning code (UDDISC) is provided on a dental implant body and/or any device attached to the dental implant body (e.g., the dental implant carrier). Implant bodies and platforms are available in many different types of sizes and configurations from many different companies. The UDDISC allows for an immediate digital scan of the dental implant in relationship to the patient's dentition.
IMPLANT DELIVERY SYSTEM
Provided is a unit dose dental implant system for oral surgery that includes 1) an implant component, or simply implant; 2) an prosthetic abutment component, or simply abutment; 3) a healing abutment cap; 4) a locking screw; and 5) a plurality of tools. The implant and abutment are typically deployed in two stages. A first stage involves the surgical placement of the implant into the jaw of a patient. A second stage is a restorative procedure utilizing the abutment. Staging is used to allow patient healing and to allow boney growth to develop on the implant prior to the restorative procedure. The implant, abutment and the tools necessary for the procedures are provide in a sterile condition in a multi-stage container. The implant and the corresponding tools are provided in a first container and the abutment and corresponding tools are provided in a second container.
PACKAGING SLEEVE FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES
Packaging sleeve for medical purposes for storing sterile objects (25, 45), consisting of at least one outer sleeve (2) that is open at one end and can be sealed with a sealing closure (10) and has an inner sleeve (12) accommodated in it with a clamping effect, wherein the inner sleeve (12) is accommodated in a clamping seating in a receiving opening (15) in the sealing closure (10) on the bottom side of the outer sleeve (2) and the clamping seat thereby formed presses the sealing ribs (7, 55, 56, 59) arranged on the outside circumference of the sealing closure (10) against the inside of the outer sleeve (2) under increased contact pressure (FIG. 1).
Package for an object and an assembly including such a package
A package for an object such as a preferably-sterile medical component, includes: a support element provided with elements for coupling the object; a stopper that can be coupled to the support element in such a manner as to define a first chamber for containing the object, and such that a grip portion of the support element projects from the stopper; and a cover that can be coupled to the stopper in such a manner as to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends, and such that a portion of the stopper coupled to the support element projects from the cover.

Dental Implant Surgery Organizer Case
A dental implant organizer case includes a housing with a plurality of compartments selectively arranged therein. Each compartment includes: a respective lid pivotally mounted to the housing to cover the compartment's cavity when closed; means for biasing the lid from the closed to the open position; means to releasably secure the lid in the closed position; means to releasably support dental implant containers within the compartment in an upright position; and a respective tooth number marking to indicate the tooth intended for the implant containers therein. The selectively arranged compartments may form a semi-circular or an in-line arrangement. Two compartment levels may be utilized, with the lower compartments being accessible using a tray being slidable with respect to the housing. Two cases may be secured together to be pivotable between collapsed and extended positions, where the first and second cases store dental implant containers for left-hand and right-hand teeth, respectively.
Protective container for sterilized medical implants
A protective container for a sterilized medical implant includes a base including a hollow body having a closed end and an opened end. The base including a thread. A cap is secured about the opened end of the hollow body. The cap includes a thread that cooperates with the thread provided on the base such that relative rotation of the base and the cap causes relative axial movement of the base and the cap. A sealing member is compressed between the base and the cap to provide a seal therebetween as a result of relative axial movement of the base and the cap.
Multifunctional prosthetic component and its method of use
In one aspect, a multi-use prosthetic component is provided. In certain examples, the component comprises a prismatic head, external marks and internal hexagon for indexing, fitting and orientation of the assembly. In another aspect, a dental implant system is provided, where in certain examples the system includes a covering cylinder, a plastic cover, a set screw and an implant with an external hexagon, which allows for, in addition to the function as a conventional assembler, capturing the implant in the packaging, shipping and installation in the bone tissue, application of torque, impression coping, a prosthetic pillar indexed to the implant device, and 3D orientation during surgery.
DENTAL IMPLANT
Dental implant embodiments comprising one or more non-annular cutaways from a portion of the crown are described. In some embodiments, cutaways, which are implantable beneath the bone line, are orientable during implantation by reference to a dental implant positioning tool to which the dental implant is mated in a known orientation. Mating, in some embodiments, is secured by a detent system which reversibly interlocks the positioning tool and the implant. In some embodiments, a surface of a cutaway is provided with protrusions which stimulate bone regrowth into the volume which the remainder of the cutaway provides.
