MODULAR NOSEROLLER ASSEMBLY FOR A CONVEYOR

A modular noseroller assembly for transitioning a conveyor belt at an end of a carryway comprises a plurality of roller-mounting modules connected to a spacer element to form a noseroller assembly that can be installed in a conveyor frame. The roller-mounting modules mount freely-rotating rollers on an axle extending through the plurality of roller-mounting modules. The configuration and size of the noseroller assembly can be easily modified depending on a particular application.

PORTIONING BELT UNIT, SLICING MACHINE EQUIPPED THEREWITH, METHOD FOR RETOOLING SUCH A SLICING MACHINE

In order that in a portioning belt unit with only two deflecting drums, the rear one of which serves as a drive drum and requires a large wrap angle, the rear end of the upper run of the portioning belt does not become increasingly more declined towards the rear until it reaches the vertical, in accordance with the curvature of the upper side of this drive drum, a smaller rearmost deflecting drum is provided, and the upper run is held bent between the foremost and rearmost deflecting drums with an approximately horizontal front section and an obliquely rearwardly sloping rear section by correspondingly supporting the upper run by a belt support plate or a center deflecting drum.

INVERTING AND CLEANING DEVICE

An inverting and cleaning device includes a positioning mechanism, an inverting mechanism, and a cleaning mechanism. The positioning mechanism is adapted to move a drum to a first position. The inverting mechanism includes a holding member. When the drum is located at the first position, the holding member clamps a drum body of the drum and inverts the drum to a second position where an opening on a top of the drum faces downward. The cleaning mechanism includes a cleaning tool. When the drum is located at the second position, the cleaning tool enters the drum through the opening of the drum for cleaning an inside of the drum.

A METHOD OF REFURBISHING A BUCKET WHEEL RECLAIMER

A method 10 of refurbishing a bucket wheel reclaimer (BWR) 41 having structural frame 68, a chute 66 supported by the structural frame 68, a yard conveyor 42 for receiving material from the chute 66 and an impact table 64 supported by the structural frame 68 below a portion of an upper run 44 of the yard conveyor 42. The method includes a step 12 of decoupling a current impact table 64 from the BWR structural frame 68. The impact table 64 is lowered at step 26 from the structural frame 68. Thereafter at step 14 the current impact table is moved laterally away from and to one side of the yard conveyor. At steps 16 and 18 a fresh impact table is moved laterally to a location beneath the upper run 44 of the yard conveyor and coupled to the BWR 41.

A belt tension-reducing device is provided, which includes a support member; a pliable central wheel assembly configured to engage a both downwardly and upwardly moving portions of the conveyor belt; first and second outboard roller assemblies positioned to engage the downwardly and upwardly moving portions, respectively. A second effective rolling radius of the pliable central wheel assembly at a contact point with the upwardly moving portion of the conveyor belt can be greater than a first effective rolling radius of the pliable central wheel assembly at a contact point with the downwardly moving portion of the conveyor belt to reduce stresses on the belt in a vertical shaft. The belt tension-reducing devices can be arranged in a stacked configuration within the vertical shaft.
