Dental impression retake kit and methods therefor
A method of administering a dental impression kit includes receiving, from a user, a first set of dental impressions of an upper dental arch and a lower dental arch of the user and identifying, based on the first set of dental impressions, one or more defects in at least one dental impression of the first set of dental impressions. The method includes sending a dental impression kit to the user and receiving a second set of dental impressions, the second set of dental impressions replacing the at least one dental impression having the one or more defects. The method includes manufacturing dental aligners specific to the user and being configured to reposition one or more teeth of the user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGAGING BEAKS AND MIXING TIPS
A device is provided for assembling components of a mixing syringe for use in a dental procedure. For this assembly, the components of interest include a beak and a mixing tip for the syringe. Specifically, the device includes a top plate formed with a hole, and a support member for the top plate that maintains the hole at a predetermined height H above a surface when the device is placed on the surface. For an assembly operation, the beak is supported on the device with a portion of the beak inserted downwardly through the hole of the top plate. This also extends a gripping member of the beak upwardly above the top plate. A grab ring of the mixing tip is then pushed against the gripping member of the beak for their engagement with each other. They are then removed together from the device and engaged with the mixing syringe.
Mixing and dispensing container
A container 10 for mixing and dispensing of material having a liquid receptacle 14 and a plunger 18. The receptacle 14 has a front portion 36 and the plunger 18 has a forwardly projecting sharp protrusion 42 having a shaft 72 which terminates in a sharp outer end 78, 82. Upon the plunger 18 being depressed the sharp protrusion 42 pierces a front portion 36 of the liquid receptacle 14 and the liquid in the receptacle 14 is pushed hydraulically through the front portion 36 into the main chamber 17. Thus the liquid contacts material in the main chamber 17 to form a mixture. The plunger 18 can continue to be depressed so as to break the front portion 36 of the liquid receptacle 14 away and then push the material in the main chamber 17 towards a dispensing nozzle 26. The main chamber 17 has a frangible membrane 22 at a distal end 13 thereof which is hydraulically broken by pressure applied from the material in the main chamber 17 so that the material can be dispensed from the container 10. The container 10 is particularly envisaged for use with mixing and dispensing of dental materials.
DENTAL IMPRESSION RETAKE KIT AND METHODS THEREFOR
A method includes receiving representations of a first set of dental impressions including a first dental impression of an upper dental arch of a user and a second dental impression of a lower dental arch of the user having been created using contents from an initial dental impression kit sent to the user, identifying a defective dental impression, sending a retake dental impression kit to the user where the retake dental impression kit includes a set of dental trays consisting of dental trays corresponding to the dental arch associated with the defective dental impression, receiving representations of a second set of dental impressions of the dental arch associated with the defective dental impression, and manufacturing, based on the second set of dental impressions, a plurality of dental aligners specific to the user and being configured to reposition one or more teeth of the user.
Device for storage and application and method
The present invention relates in particular to the storage of dental material in a device (10, 10′) and the application of the dental material (20) from such a device (10,10′), and a method for treating dental material (20). In order to provide a solution that allows the simple and practical handling of a dental material (20) in the sense of storage, application and/or treatment thereof, inter alia, a device (10, 10′) for storage and application (20) comprising a cavity (12) for storage of the dental material (20) and a wall (14) surrounding the cavity (12) is proposed, wherein the wall (14) in at least a first temperature range is impermeable to radiation of at least a first wavelength or a first wavelength range in the range of 100 nm to 500 nm, wherein the wall (14) comprises at least one area that at least in a second temperature range is permeable to radiation of at least a second wavelength or a second wavelength range in the range of 600 nm to 50,000 nm.
DEVICE FOR INJECTING A FILLING MATERIAL IN THE FLUID PHASE INTO A CANAL SPACE
Device for injecting a filling material in the fluid phase into a canal space, the device including an adaptor nozzle connected to an auto-mixer, and an injection tip fitted at the upper end of the auto-mixer. At a distal end the injection tip has an outside diameter of 1.5 mm or less over a length of 8 mm or greater. The injection tip is made of memory shape material for bending to a desired orientation. The injection tip is molded to the upper end of the auto-mixer, and on an exterior surface of the injector tip are either circular ribs defining a groove, the upper end of the auto-mixer being molded into the groove so the injection tip is locked in position in the upper end while retaining a degree of freedom to rotate about its axis of symmetry, or one or more mutually parallel circular ribs, and the upper end of the auto-mixer is molded onto the circular rib so the injection tip is blocked in position in the upper end while retaining a degree of freedom to rotate about its axis of symmetry.
Delivery system for a dental composition
The present invention relates to a delivery system (100) for the release of a dental composition mixed from two or optionally three components. The delivery system has a mixer (14), a cartridge (20) with three compartments and a switchable bypass valve (40) for bypassing the third component from the mixer. The present application further relates to a method of dispensing a dental composition.
Dental material dispensing device and a method of dispensing a dental material
A dental material dispensing device has a plunger means which for dispensing the dental material is movable for urging at least one component of a dental material toward a dispensing area. The device further has cure control means with an energy source and a flow path on which the dental composition and/or the dental material flows past the energy source during dispensation. The device is operable for exposing the dental composition and/or the dental material to a specific energy by control of the energy source and/or by control of the speed of the flow of the dental composition and/or the dental material on the flow path. The device is configured for dispensing a coherent strand of dental material in a dispensing cycle. The device is further configured for operating in a first dispensing mode and additionally in a second dispensing mode during the same dispensing cycle. The ratio between the specific energy in the second dispensing mode and the specific energy in the first dispensing mode is smaller than 1.
Dental dispenser
A dental dispenser that receives a cartridge and a blunt tip applicator for the safe and controlled extrusion and placement of dental materials such as non-injectable anesthetics.
Dispenser assembly
A dispenser assembly includes a rod, a plunger and a stopper. The rod has a plunger receiving end with a clip receiving recess. The plunger has a rod receiving structure with a rod engaging clip biased to fit to the clip receiving recess of the rod for movement therewith. The stopper has a plunger receiving space that defines an aperture extending through the plunger receiving space with the rod extending through the aperture. The plunger receiving space is dimensioned such that with the rod receiving structure of the plunger located within the plunger receiving space, movement of the rod engaging clip is restricted by contact with surfaces of the plunger receiving space preventing release of the rod from the plunger.
