Syringe
09901419 · 2018-02-27 · ·

The invention relates to a syringe, in particular for dispensing flowable dental materials, comprising a syringe housing, at least two storage chambers (12 and 14) for dental materials, which lie transversely adjacent to each other as viewed in the dispensing direction, and a mixing device (36), which has two mixing channels (54, 56, 58, and 60), wherein each mixing channel is connected to the outlet of a storage chamber (12 and 14). The mixing device (36) has a mixing zone (80), which is connected to a pre-mixing zone (64). The pre-mixing zone (64) has two inlets, one for each of the dental materials to be mixed, and an outlet, wherein the inlets point toward each other. The outlet of the pre-mixing zone (64) extends perpendicularly to the inlets. The inlet of the mixing zone (80) is connected to the outlet of the pre-mixing zone (64). The mixing zone (80) has an impact element for deflecting the pre-mixed flow of the dental materials to an outlet of the mixing zone (80).

MIXING AND DISPENSING CONTAINER
20180021111 · 2018-01-25 · ·

A container 10 for mixing and dispensing of material having a liquid receptacle 14 and a plunger 18. The receptacle 14 has a front portion 36 and the plunger 18 has a forwardly projecting sharp protrusion 42 having a shaft 72 which terminates in a sharp outer end 78, 82. Upon the plunger 18 being depressed the sharp protrusion 42 pierces a front portion 36 of the liquid receptacle 14 and the liquid in the receptacle 14 is pushed hydraulically through the front portion 36 into the main chamber 17. Thus the liquid contacts material in the main chamber 17 to form a mixture. The plunger 18 can continue to be depressed so as to break the front portion 36 of the liquid receptacle 14 away and then push the material in the main chamber 17 towards a dispensing nozzle 26. The main chamber 17 has a frangible membrane 22 at a distal end 13 thereof which is hydraulically broken by pressure applied from the material in the main chamber 17 so that the material can be dispensed from the container 10. The container 10 is particularly envisaged for use with mixing and dispensing of dental materials.

Multi Chamber Delivery System

Provided is product dispenser that may be used for oral care products that are composed of two different ingredients that are mixed together prior to being used. The oral care product dispenser may include at least two storage chambers, a mixing chamber, a dispensing nozzle in fluidic communication with the mixing chamber and at least one seal that keeps the contents stored in the at least two storage chambers separated during storage. The mixing chamber receives and mixes contents from the at least two storage chambers during dispensing.

PLUNGER FOR A SYRINGE AND METHOD OF MAKING SUCH A PLUNGER

A plunger for advancing a substance in a syringe toward a dispensing nozzle. The plunger has a plunger rod and a seal and being formed of a plastic composition. The plastic composition comprises a polymer and a filler which is non-uniformly distributed within the polymer to provide the plunger rod and the seal with different mechanical properties depending on the filler content in the portions of the plastic composition plunger forming the rod and the seal. The invention preferably provides a dental syringe which can be conveniently used, and further helps minimizing costs in the manufacturing of the dental syringe.

DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR IN SITU FORMING FOAMS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

Delivery systems for in situ forming foam formulations are provided. The devices may include various actuation mechanisms and may entrain air into fluid formulation components in a variety of ways, including mixing with air and the addition of compressed gas.

TISSUE MANAGEMENT IMPRESSION MATERIAL AND DISPENSING SYSTEMS

Disclosed herein are a tissue management impression material and a method of application into the sulcus of a patient, whereby the tissue management impression material is a part of the final dental impression made when manufacturing a dental device, such as a crown.

Dual-barrel cartridge adaptor

The invention is related to a cartridge adaptor which comprises a first dual-barrel cartridge, a housing, an adaptor and a second dual-barrel cartridge. The first dual-barrel cartridge comprises two openings and is disposed in the housing. The housing comprises a first fastening component. The adaptor has two inlets which opposite to the two inlets. The two inlets are respectively mounted into and communicate with the two openings of the first dual-barrel cartridge. The two outlets communicate with the two inlets. The second dual-barrel cartridge comprises two openings and a second fastening component which is complementary to the first fastening component of the housing. The two openings of the second dual-barrel cartridge communicates with the two outlets of the adaptor. The invention prevents the remaining unmixed component substances from oozing out of the two inlets or the two outlets of the adaptor during the transfer process of the remaining component substances.

A dispensing apparatus includes a body, two inlets for flowable masses and two outlets through which the flowable masses can be dispensed, with one inlet being connected to one outlet and the other inlet being connected to the other outlet through the body. The two inlets are spaced apart from one another by a first spacing and the two outlets are spaced apart from one another by a second spacing, and with the second spacing being larger than the first spacing. A connection ring engages the body and is pre-mounted to the body. The dispensing apparatus is configured to be non-releasably connected to a two-component cartridge via the connection ring for the supply of the flowable masses to the inlets.
