METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ROLLED RETRACTION CORD
A method for manufacturing a rolled retraction cord is provided. The method comprises the steps of: (A) preparing the sheet, the sheet comprising a first side edge and a second side edge opposite to each other; (B) placing the sheet on a first surface of a first forming member; (C) contacting the first side edge of the sheet with a second surface of a second forming member, the first side edge of the sheet sandwiched between the first surface of the first forming member and the second surface of the second forming member; and (D) applying a force via the first surface or the second surface to the sheet, and rolling the sheet from the first side edge to the second side edge to obtain the retraction cord. With this method, a rolled retraction cord with a smooth surface and enhanced ductility is capable of being provided.
Systems and methods for trimming dental aligners
A method of cutting a dental aligner includes identifying a gingival line in a model representative of a user's dentition where the gingival line is an interface of a teeth portion and a gingival portion of the model, generating a plurality of points in the gingival portion of the model where each point of the plurality of points is generated at a threshold distance from the gingival line, generating a cut line that intersects at least some of the points of the plurality of points, and controlling a cutting system to cut the dental aligner along the cut line.
Guide pin for dental implant surgery
Provided is a guide pin for dental implant surgery, providing guidance so that a practitioner easily determines a location and angle of an alveolar bone of a patient when forming an implant hole in the alveolar bone to place an implant in the alveolar bone. By using the guide pin for dental implant surgery according to the inventive concept, a practitioner may perform the surgery by determining an accurate location and shape of the alveolar bone of the patient when drilling an implant hole in the alveolar bone, and thus, the success rate of the implant surgery may be increased.
DENTAL MATERIAL DISPENSING DEVICE AND A METHOD OF DISPENSING A DENTAL MATERIAL
A dental material dispensing device has a plunger means which for dispensing the dental material is movable for urging at least one component of a dental material toward a dispensing area. The device further has cure control means with an energy source and a flow path on which the dental composition and/or the dental material flows past the energy source during dispensation. The device is operable for exposing the dental composition and/or the dental material to a specific energy by control of the energy source and/or by control of the speed of the flow of the dental composition and/or the dental material on the flow path. The device is configured for dispensing a coherent strand of dental material in a dispensing cycle. The device is further configured for operating in a first dispensing mode and additionally in a second dispensing mode during the same dispensing cycle. The ratio between the specific energy in the second dispensing mode and the specific energy in the first dispensing mode is smaller than 1.
Sulcular guard and method of use
A sulcular guard can be placed into the gingival sulculus surrounding a tooth to collect excess cement resulting from a replacement crown cementation procedure. The semi-rigid sulcular guard can have a generally U shaped cross-section with a central recess configured for collecting and containing the cement. Prior to cementing a crown on a prepared tooth, the guard may be inserted into the gingival sulculus surrounding the tooth. When the crown is pressed onto the tooth, excess cement, which is forced out from the bottom of the crown, can be collected and contained within the recess. Upon completion of the cementation, the guard, and all cement contained therein, may be removed leaving the gingival sulculus free of cement.
Dental retractor
To accurately acquire an image of an inside of an oral cavity of a person to be treated, there is provided a dental retractor including a retracting base portion that includes an inner retracting portion extending in an arch-shaped profile to surround an inner portion of gum at any one side of an upper jaw and a lower jaw inside an oral cavity and having a pressing holding portion formed at an outer peripheral surface so that a tongue is accommodated therein and an outer retracting portion integrally extending from both ends of the inner retracting portion and extending in an arch-shaped profile to surround an outer portion of the gum, and a handle portion including a grip portion connected outward from the retracting base portion.
GINGIVAL RETRACTION DEVICE WITH IMPRESSION AND METHOD OF USE
Simultaneously retracting gingiva and taking an impression around a tooth with two different materials having different setting properties with different viscosities or rigidity. A supportive material having a higher viscosity or rigidity relevant to an impression material is used in combination with a rigid tray to retract gingiva and form an impression of and around a tooth. The timing of the application of pressure to the tray when placed over a tooth containing the two different materials is such that pressure is only applied when the supportive material has a state of cure or setting state with a viscosity or rigidity greater than the state of cure or setting state of the impression material.
DENTAL RETRACTION COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a dental retraction composition comprising guanidinyl-containing polymer, carrageenan, filler, paste-forming component, organic acid having a molecular weight of 80 to 250 g/mol, a pks value of 2 to 5, 1 to 3 carboxylic acid moieties, and being soluble in polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 400 g/mol, the dental retraction composition not containing water in an amount of more than 5 wt. %, and not containing aluminium chloride in an amount of more than 0.5 wt. %, wt. % with respect to the weight of the dental retraction composition. The dental retraction composition is for use in a process for use in a process of retracting dental tissue in combination with coagulating blood. The invention also relates to a delivery device comprising the dental retraction composition and a kit of parts comprising the delivery device, an applier for the delivery device, optionally a dental impression material, and optionally a retraction cap.
