Bulk material precision in field belt conveyor loading apparatus
A loading apparatus for a granular material conveyor system having a conveyor belt is described. The apparatus has a chute assembly mounted to a frame over the conveyor belt and having an adjustment mechanism and a positional lock assembly connected to the chute assembly and the frame for adjusting an upper surface of the chute assembly to a desired angle within a range of possible angles. One or more side deflector panels are mounted to the frame over the conveyor belt and an adjusting rod assembly connects the deflector panels to the frame for adjusting an angle of the deflector panels.
Techniques for Directing Ultraviolet Energy Towards a Moving Surface
An ultraviolet (“UV”) emission device may emit energy towards a movable surface of a conveyor system. A housing of the UV emission device may attach to a frame of the conveyor system. A lateral edge of the housing may extend across the moveable surface. The housing and a portion of the moveable surface may be inclined with respect to the frame. A barrier bracket of the UV emission device may support an absorptive barrier along the lateral edge, the absorptive barrier configured to contact the moveable surface. In a first position of the barrier bracket, the absorptive barrier contacts the moveable surface and the barrier bracket activates an interlock switch. In a second position of the barrier bracket, the barrier bracket deactivates the interlock switch. Responsive to deactivation of the interlock switch, a controller may provide a control signal to decrease power to the UV energy emission element.

DEVICE FOR CONVEYING PRODUCTS, HAVING A WEAR INDICATOR
The present invention concerns a device for conveying products, which is intended for a production and processing line for these products and comprises at least one movable element in the form of a conveyor belt or link chain and a fixed support for the movable element, the support being in the form of at least one slider, the slider supporting the movable element in contact with at least one wear surface located on said slider, characterized in that at least one slider has, under the wear surface, at least one underlying layer, the underlying layer consisting of a material with a different appearance to the appearance of the material of the wear surface. The invention further relates to a slider for such a conveying device.
Food storage system
A food product-carrying unit (10) for transferring food product from an in-feed section to an out-feed section of a small-scale, variable retention time (VRT) food storage system comprises a pair of opposing side portions (11, 12) joined by a pair of opposing end portions (13, 14) to form an open rectangular frame section (15). The side portions (11, 12) have formations (16, 17; 18, 19), respectively, thereon, which formations (16, 17; 18, 19) are adapted to reversibly link the food product-carrying unit (10) to corresponding formations on neighbouring food product-carrying units in the food storage system. A wheel (20, 21) is mounted at ends (22, 23), respectively, of end portion (13). Corresponding wheels (24) (only one wheel shown) are mounted at ends (25, 26), respectively, of end portion (14). The and each wheel (20, 21, 24) has an axle with a plastics wear part, and the wheels (20, 21, 24) are aligned such that, in use, the food product-carrying unit (10) is movable forwards and backwards on the wheels (20, 21, 24) in a straight line through the food storage system. The food product-carrying unit (10) also has a wear pad (27, 28; and 29) mounted on the and each end portion (13, 14), respectively, to the outside (31) of the frame section (15).
Guide Profile and Conveying System
A guide profile and a conveying system are disclosed. The conveying system is designed with a guide profile of this type. A slide bar of the guide profile is provided with an articulated leg so that it is possible to change the slide bar on the already installed conveying system.
Low force sealing pneumatic carrier
Provided herein is a pneumatic carrier having a leak resistant cargo area where first and second mating shells form the carrier. To provide a leak resistant cargo area, the one embodiment of the carrier employs a cantilevered sealing element on a first sealing periphery of the first shell. A free end of the cantilevered sealing element is configured to engage a sloped surface on a second shell. As the shells close, the sealing element slides down the sloped surface to form a seal between the shells. The use of the cantilevered sealing element in conjunction with the sloped surface reduces the compressive force required to form a seal between the shells.
Formable wing up lagging
A longitudinally and radially formable wing tip lagging that can be formed to match non-linear wing tip profiles. The longitudinally and radially formable wing tip lagging serves as a wear surface that can be replaced as it is worn rather than wearing down the ferrous or non-ferrous wing tips permanently affixed to the outermost positions of the wing pulley. The wing tip lagging includes a backing plate and a sacrificial stratum. The backing plate is the primary structural component and it includes a plurality of bending features that facilitate both longitudinal and radial forming of the wing tip lagging. The bending features may include a plurality of notches or slots formed along the backing plate. For example, the notches may be arranged in a regular repeating pattern along the length of the backing plate.
ARTICLE CAROUSEL
An article carousel may be configured for use with a track system. The article carousel may include a frame and a plate configured for movement with respect to the frame. The plate may include one or more carriers configured to receive one or more trolleys. Movement of the plate may enable each carrier to be aligned with the track system. During alignment, one or more trolleys may be transferred between each carrier and the track system.
Driver for scraper chain conveyors
The disclosure relates to a driver for scraper chain conveyors, which has a central portion having a chain link receptacle for attaching the driver to chain links of a conveyor chain, wherein scraper wings adjoin both sides of the central portion and each scraper wing has a web portion and an end portion that is widened with respect to the web portion, wherein, on the underside of the web portion, a wear plate is provided, which covers the web portion in the direction of the end portion starting from a step on the underside of the central portion.
