METHOD FOR REMOVING GOODS FROM A STORAGE DEVICE IN ORDER TO FULFILL AN ORDER
A method of fulfilling orders of goods of mixed packs and single packs of the same type. The goods are first stored as single packs of the same type and all of the goods allocated to an order are removed from a specified order storage rack aisle of a storage rack. Goods present in the storage racks required for the order that are not present within the specified order storage rack aisle are transferred into the order storage rack aisle from another storage rack aisle by a transverse transport process. A mixed pack for the order is generated by picking from packs of the same type, and a picking station is supplied with corresponding packs of the same type from the same storage racks, and the mixed pack is stored into the order storage rack aisle. The order, comprising single packs of the same type and mixed packs, is removed from the specified order storage rack aisle.
WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A warehouse management system includes: a control server, a first storage area, a second storage area, a first inventory receptacle handling device, a second inventory receptacle handling device and an order receptacle handling device. A first inventory receptacle and a first workstation are arranged in the first storage area, a second inventory receptacle and a second workstation are arranged in the second storage area, and the first inventory receptacle handling device and the second inventory receptacle handling device are communicatively connected to the control server. The control server is configured to split the order task into a first sub-order and a second sub-order according to the order task, when it is determined that order products in an order task are to be selected from both the first inventory receptacle in the first storage area and the second inventory receptacle in the second storage area.
Method of order fulfilling by making storage units available from a storage facility in a desired sequence at a picking station
A method of fulfilling orders from a queue of a plurality of orders in an automated storage facility with storage of items of the same kind in receptacles stored in a rack. When items to complete an order are available, automatic storage and retrieval devices retrieve and transport receptacles containing items for fulfillment of an order to a picking station. Each aisle is connected to one of the picking stations and receptacles containing items for orders to be fulfilled at such connected picking station are stored within the connected aisle. When the specific receptacle for the order is retrieved it is checked according to predetermined criteria whether the same item is needed for fulfillment of further orders and if so items from the receptacle are placed into separate receptacles for storage in different aisles according to picking station assignment for the further orders.
METHOD OF ORDER FULFILLING BY MAKING STORAGE UNITS AVAILABLE FROM A STORAGE FACILITY IN A DESIRED SEQUENCE AT A PACK STATION
A method of fulfilling orders by making orders available in order units by picking from product units in a storage facility that includes a routed product order picking area, and an automated storage and retrieval racking area that is upstream from the routed products order picking area and connected thereto by a routing conveyor. The method includes reassigning order fulfillment of orders requiring products from product units requiring many exchanges between adjoining storage racks from a source storage rack to an adjacent storage rack via cross conveyance locations in the storage racks themselves to reach a destination storage rack, where the orders are reassigned to the routed products order picking area for parallel order fulfillment such that bottlenecks within the automated storage and retrieval racking area can be prevented or at least decreased.
Order filling system
Systems, methods, and machine-executable coded instruction sets for the fully- and/or partly automated handling of goods are disclosed. In particular, the disclosure provides improvements in the handling of goods in fulfillment of orders for items of mixed sizes, weights, and other dimensions.
Inventory storage module with robotic transport system
In one embodiment, an inventory storage system has at least one storage module having a shelving system, a conveyor, and a robotic transport system. The shelving system has a plurality of shelves that are spaced from one another along a vertical direction and that define a plurality of inventory storage locations. The conveyor is positioned alongside the shelving system and is configured to convey inventory items along a longitudinal direction. The robotic transport system is positioned alongside the shelving system and spaced above the conveyor along the vertical direction. The robotic transport system has a track, and a trolley that translates along the track and that includes a robotic manipulator. The trolley moves the robotic manipulator along the track to a position that is adjacent a select one of the inventory storage locations so as to stow an inventory item to, or retrieve the item from, the select storage location.
ORDER-PICKING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a picking system for a job-related picking of goods in output bins, said picking system comprising a plurality of automated picking cells; comprising a first conveying system for the supply and/or discharge of the supply bins to and/or from the picking cells; and a second conveying system for the supply and/or discharge of the output bins to and/or from the picking cells, and a job management control for working through a plurality of picking jobs by controlling the first and second conveying systems and the plurality of picking cells, wherein at least one first picking cell has different goods handling properties than a second picking cell; and/or in that the job management control uses at least one first picking cell for working through different jobs and/or partial jobs than a second picking cell.
FLEXIBLE AND COMPACT ORDER PICKING SYSTEM
A method and installation for picking items from storage units into one or more outbound units. The installation has a small parts store in which the storage units are stored, and a pick area, in which storage units from the parts store are presented at several pickup points. Assigned to the pick area is a conveyor track via which the outbound units can be moved in or out of the pick area, such that items can be picked from the storage units disposed in the pickup points and into the outbound units. The installation has a pick location, at which one or more receiving locations for outbound units and a conveyor device for storage units from the parts store are disposed such that items can be picked from the storage units delivered on the conveyor device and into the outbound units disposed at the receiving locations.
