Method for duplicating a denture

The fabrication of an implant-supported fixed complete denture involves multiple clinical and laboratory steps. One of the main steps is to provide the patient with an interim fixed prosthesis to evaluate the patient's esthetic and function al needs as well as to enhance the patient's psychology before proceeding to the definitive prosthesis. Different techniques for fabricating interim prostheses have been described in the literature. This disclosure describes a method of fabricating an implant-supported fixed interim prosthesis using self-curing acrylic resin. The interim prosthesis may be used as a blueprint for the definitive implant-supported hybrid prosthesis.

The invention relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis, wherein the dental prosthesis comprises a prosthetic base and a plurality of prosthetic teeth, wherein the method is carried out with the use of a virtual three-dimensional dental prosthesis model of the dental prosthesis which is to be produced, and wherein the virtual three-dimensional dental prosthesis model comprises virtual prosthetic teeth and a virtual prosthetic base, including the following chronological steps: A) producing a physical occlusion plate, wherein a region of the surface of the occlusion plate is formed by a negative of the coronal sides of the virtual prosthetic teeth of the virtual dental prosthesis model, wherein the location and orientation of the virtual prosthetic teeth relative to one another corresponding to the virtual dental prosthesis model remain retained in the shape of the surface of the occlusion plate; B) placing and securing preassembled prosthetic teeth on the occlusion plate, wherein the coronal sides of the pre-assembled prosthetic teeth are placed on the surface of the occlusion plate formed by the negative; C) securing the occlusion plate, with the prosthetic teeth secured therein, in a device for the layered forming of three-dimensional plastic structures; and D) printing the prosthetic base onto the basal ends of the prosthetic teeth with the device for the layered forming of three-dimensional plastic structures on the basis of the shape of the virtual prosthetic base.

The invention also relates to a dental prosthesis produced with such a method and a device for carrying out such a method.

Method and Device for Producing a Dental Prosthesis

This invention relates to a method for producing dental prostheses, having the steps of: A) producing a prosthetic base with at least one receptacle and one protruding pin or providing such a prosthetic base; B) producing or basally machining at least one dental molding with a basal cavity for receiving the pin and a lateral opening in the circumferential surface, such that the basal cavity is accessible via the lateral opening; C) subsequently applying an adhesive into the basal cavity and/or into the at least one receptacle; D) subsequently inserting the at least one dental molding into the at least one receptacle of the prosthetic base, such that the protruding pin is arranged inside the basal cavity; E) subsequently pushing the at least one dental molding into the at least one receptacle, and excess adhesive exiting through the lateral opening in the circumferential surface, wherein the lateral opening protrudes at least in places in the coronal direction beyond an adjoining gingival margin of the prosthetic base; and F) subsequently curing the adhesive.

The disclosure also relates to a device for producing dental prostheses using such a method, to a dental molding and to a dental prosthesis produced using such a method.

ASSEMBLY FOR LOCATING AND VERIFYING THE ANATOMIC POSITION OF A FULL-ARCH DENTAL PROSTHETICS

A dental prosthetic positioning assembly comprises an occlusal assembly and a maxillary arch subassembly. The occlusal assembly includes a maxillary tray configured to be formed in a patient's maxillary alveolar ridge, wherein the maxillary tray comprises a occlusal rim component. The occlusal assembly further includes a carriage frame component composed of biocompatible magnetic metal material anchored to the maxillary tray. The maxillary arch subassembly comprises a plurality of prosthetic maxillary teeth components magnetically anchored to the occlusal rim component. The carriage frame component is moveable with respect to the maxillary tray. The prosthetic maxillary teeth components are individually moveable with respect to each other to achieve a desired dental positioning.

Denture and method of producing a denture

The invention relates to a denture, made of teeth, in particular prefabricated teeth, and of a denture base made of a gingival material, comprising cavities for teeth in which cavities for the teeth are mounted, in particular attached by bonding, characterized in that the denture base (12) is produced by a CAD/CAM process forming the cavities (20) for the teeth (14), and in that cervical areas (40a) of the teeth (14) extending through the basal surface (16, 18) of the denture base (12) are removed, in particular abraded or milled.

Removable partial denture
12064303 · 2024-08-20 · ·

The invention relates to an assembly set for a removable partial denture comprising one or more replacement teeth as well as a framework with one or more retention sections. Each of the retention sections is configured to receive and retain one or more of the replacement teeth. Each of the replacement teeth comprises a bottom face with a surface structure configured to engage an assigned complementary retention structure provided by one of the retention sections of the framework configured to receive the respective replacement tooth. Each surface structure provides in combination with the assigned complementary retention structure a non-destructive detachable direct connection between the replacement tooth comprising the respective surface structure and the retention section comprising the respective assigned complementary retention structure.

Denture and method of manufacturing

Our method applies a continuous pressure to an exterior of a denture setup during the polymerizing and shrinking of the plastic material forming a portion of our denture. The direction from which shrinkage occurs is controlled using a constant pressure of water. Application of at least 300 pounds per square inch (psi) of water pressure during polymerization continually forces a critical inside denture surface being formed against a master model surface to allow the major shrinkage to take place on a less critical outside denture surface, thereby reducing distortion to the interior (fitted) portion of the denture. This pressure reduces the size of the air bubbles to maximize the density of the polymerized denture material, thereby lowering oral fluid sorption into our denture. Thus our denture overall is a stronger, better fitting, durable product that addresses the esthetic, health and hygiene issues presented by conventional dentures.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANATOMIC RESTORATION DENTAL IMPLANT HAVING A TWO-PIECE REINFORCED ZIRCONIUM DIOXIDE BASE AND TITANIUM INSERT
20180333237 · 2018-11-22 ·

A two-piece anatomic dental implant with a Zirconium Dioxide base and a titanium insert. The Zirconium Dioxide base having a milled shaft into which a titanium insert is press fit retained with members to prevent rotation of the titanium insert within the Zirconium Dioxide implant. The present invention only allows metal screws from attachments to be threaded into a metal titanium insert and not threaded into a Zirconia Implant base. The invention includes an improved design for a healing cap providing minimal contact between the stronger material such as titanium and the Zirconium Dioxide.
