ROLLER FOR TRANSPORTING A FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE, VACUUM PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND METHODS THEREFOR
A roller for transporting a flexible substrate is described. The roller includes a main body having a plurality of gas supply slits provided in an outer surface of the main body. The plurality of gas supply slits extends in a direction of a central rotation axis of the roller. Further, the roller includes a sleeve provided circumferentially around and in contact with the main body. The sleeve has a plurality of gas outlets being provided above the plurality of gas supply slits. Further, the sleeve includes a metal layer embedded within isolating material.
Separator film conveyance device for nonaqueous electrolytic-solution secondary battery and method for manufacturing separator film for nonaqueous electrolytic-solution secondary battery
A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery separator film transfer device is provided which realizes a foreign object removing technique that is less likely to cause defects in a separator. The device includes a magnet bar which is arranged in a transfer path and generates a magnetic field for removing, from a separator film being transferred, a magnetic substance adhering to a first surface of the separator film; and an air cylinder which allows a distance to the magnet bar from the first surface of the separator film to be variable.

TOOLING FIXTURE
An improved method and tooling for a pouch forming machine to attach a fastener to the bag film layers. The method and fixture in one embodiment can unwind a double wide touch and close fastening material and then split the fastener into two strips using two turning bars, invert one of the strips, bring the strips together to interlock them with a nip roller, and then insert the interlocked strip between the bag film layers.
