WEB FORMING DEVICE AND SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A web forming device includes: a first material supply unit provided with a first release port that releases a first material containing a first defibrated substance and a first organic binder in a gas atmosphere; a second material supply unit provided with a second release port that releases a second material in the gas atmosphere, the second material containing a second defibrated substance and a second organic binder and being different from the first material; and a transporting unit that forms and transports an accumulated substance obtained by accumulating the first material and the second material. The second release port is positioned downstream of the first release port in a transporting direction of the transporting unit, and the accumulated substance is a laminate obtained by laminating a layer of the first material and a layer of the second material.

WEB CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND CONVEYING ROLLER CAPABLE OF EFFICIENTLY SUCKING AIR THAT ENTERS BETWEEN WEB AND CONVEYING ROLLER
A web conveying device includes a roller portion, a first air passage, a second air passage, and an air current generation portion. The roller portion rotates in contact with a web. The first air passage extends in an axial direction of a rotation shaft of the roller portion inside an outer peripheral portion of the roller portion and communicates with an outside at an end on a side of a first direction parallel to the axial direction. The second air passage extends from the first air passage in a direction that forms an obtuse angle with respect to the first direction and communicates with the outside of the outer peripheral portion. The air current generation portion generates an air current that flows in the first air passage in the first direction.

Handling bar for laminated or film supports
A handling bar for laminated or film supports, such as paper, is disclosed, including a hollow tubular body provided with an inner cavity and an outer side surface, a plurality of through holes, arranged on the tubular body to put the inner cavity in contact with the outer side surface. The handling bar also includes at least one connection to a compressed air source or a suction device, where the connection is shaped for the inflow of compressed air or to suction air into the cavity and at least one filtering element arranged inside the tubular body where at least at one portion of the holes filters the air passing between the inner cavity and the holes.

Gas bearing, porous media vacuum roller and porous media air turn
In order to provide web handling which mitigates marking of the web, externally-pressurized porous media gas bearings are used for vacuum rollers, which provide differential tension, and also for air turns, which provide non-contact turning of webs. The porous media gas bearings mitigate three of the biggest issues with the current technology, including cost, high flow rates and low pressure, and web marking. By introducing positive pressure or both, various configurations are presented which allow for improved differential tension, or non-contact conveyance. By also employing externally-pressurized radial bearings, more alternatives are provided, including conveyance and lateral motion of webs without the use of motors. Lastly, employing novel lightweight materials allows for yet other configurations which also employ some of the same aforementioned benefits.
Film feeding apparatus and control method thereof
A film feeding apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The film feeding apparatus comprises a delivery head. A surface of the delivery head has an air suction region and an air blowing region, and the air suction region and the air blowing region respectively include an air hole; and by cooperation of air suctioning through the air hole of the air suction region and air blowing through the air hole of the air blowing region, a film is kept nearby the delivery head in a non-contact manner in the case that the delivery head adsorbs the film.
PRINTING DEVICE
A printing device is provided that suppresses occurrence of a transport failure of a medium at a guide unit that guides the medium on which printing has been performed, regardless of a type of the medium. The printing device includes a transport unit configured to transport a medium M in a transport direction Y, a printing unit configured to perform printing on the medium M transported by the transport unit, a guide unit 33 including a guide surface 35 that guides the medium M on which printing has been performed, and a vibration unit 34 configured to vibrate the guide surface 35. The guide surface 35 is formed to be increasingly directed vertically downward while advancing in the transport direction Y.
