Dental Floss Perioscope
This disclosure proposes a technique for finding and treating areas of tooth decay primarily below the gum line using protuberances provided in a length of modified dental floss. The length of modified dental floss is provided with protuberances which can be used to detect areas of tooth decay by the roughness and sensitivity felt as the length of modified dental floss glides over the area of tooth decay. Specially designed posts are used to anchor the ends of the length of modified dental floss in order to be able to apply greater force during flossing, and free up fingers that would normally have the dental floss wrapped around them, to guide the floss to the right locations for flossing.
Tea bag attached to a string made of dental floss - string can be used to floss your teeth after you use it to make tea.
Tea bag attached to a string made of dental floss, string can be used to floss your teeth after you use it to make tea. Dental floss is designed for teeth, string is not.
DENTAL FLOSS DEVICE
The present patent application relates to a dental floss device which includes a floss holder and a floss tensioner. The floss holder is used for holding a dental floss, and the floss tensioner is connected with the floss holder and is used for tensioning the dental floss held by the floss holder.
ORAL HYGIENE DEVICE FOR THE FLOSSING OF TEETH
A dental flossing apparatus having a single continuous loop of dental floss passing freely through and held by apertures, which may be located either within the body of each of two rings, or in an eyelet on each of the rings, the rings being suitable for placing on the long fingers of both hands. One or both eyelets may have one end fixed to and continuous with the ring, and one sharply pointed end contiguous with, but not continuous with, the ring, with the pointed end pointing inwards such that its external side lies at an acute angle to the outer circumference of the ring, so that the floss can enter the aperture by being pulled through the contact point between the pointed end of the eyelet and the ring, but can't easily exit the aperture once inside.
Electrical appliance for personal care
An electrical appliance for personal care includes a handle with a longitudinal axis, and a plug-on part which can be attached to the handle, wherein a vibration unit having an electric motor and an eccentric element is arranged in the handle, wherein a plug-like coupling structure protrudes from the handle, which plug-like coupling structure forms an interface with a substantially mirror-inverted socket-like coupling structure of the plug-on part, wherein the interface has at least two stages with different circumferential geometry, wherein at least one of the stages has a rotation-preventing device between the handle and the plug-on part, and wherein a stop surface of the handle for the plug-on part extends obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle.
HYBRID DENTAL TOOL WITH DETACHABLE PICKS
A hybrid dental tool is disclosed herein. The hybrid dental tool includes a flosser having a flossing head. The flossing head can include a filament stretching between the first arm and a second arm. The flossing head can include a pick receptacle. The hybrid dental tool can further include a pick that has a first end and a second end. The pick can be sized and shaped to fit within the pick receptacle such that the first and second ends are protected. The pick can releasably connect with the flossing head to allow the separation of the pick from the flossing head.
Oral care implement
The present disclosure is concerned with an oral hygiene implement having a longitudinal axis, a carrier element mounted for driven movement, a motion transmitter that has a first end for transferring a drive force to the carrier element, which first end is provided at a position being offset from the longitudinal axis, and the motion transmitter has a second end positioned essentially on on the longitudinal axis or is arranged for being positioned essentially on the longitudinal axis during operation, wherein the motion transmitter has a first coupling part comprising the first end, which first coupling part essentially extends along a centre axis arranged at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis, and a second coupling part comprising the second end, which first coupling part is fixedly connected with a first connecting portion of an elastic pivot element that allows that the first coupling part and the second coupling part can pivot with respect to each other at least in a first pivoting plane spanned by the longitudinal axis and by the centre axis, and wherein the first coupling part is made from a plastics material, including reinforced plastics materials, having a Young's modulus of at least 5000 MPa or from a metal material, and at least the first connecting portion, in particular the whole elastic pivot element, is made from a plastics material having a Young's modulus of not more than 3000 MPa, optionally of not more than 1000 MPa, further optionally of not more than 500 MPa.
DENTAL SUCTION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a dental suction device for managing fluid in a patient's mouth during a dental procedure. The dental suction device comprises a pliable tube having a first end for connection to a vacuum source and a second end that can be looped to form a suction end for positioning in a patient's mouth. The loop is adjustably secured by a pair of retaining collars positioned a certain distance apart from each other along the second end of the tube and connected together by a tie. The loop, adjusted to accommodate the shape of the patient's mouth, is secured around the terminal end of a row of teeth in the patient's mouth. In this way, the dental suction device can be maintained and operated in the patient's mouth during a dental procedure.
Systems and methods for personalized oral irrigation
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
