Systems, devices and methods for receiving an item
Systems, devices and methods for receiving an item in a receptacle are disclosed. Features are disclosed for receiving and guiding an item in a receiving space of a receptacle so as to attenuate or remove the impact force of the item on the receptacle. Some embodiments of the disclosure include a bumper having an impact surface which absorbs most or all of the impact force of the item and thereby mitigates or removes the imposition of cyclic impact loads on the receptacle from repeated receipt of items. The bumper may be structurally and/or functionally de-coupled or otherwise physically separated from the receptacle such that an advantageous division of labor is created between absorbing the impact and receiving the item. This disclosure may be useful, for example, in modern industrial operations where a high volume of items are received daily, such as in mail sorting and handling operations.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a first tray that holds a sheet transported to the sheet processing apparatus in a sheet transport direction. A second tray is provided below the first tray and holds the sheet moved from the first tray. A first member, when the sheet is moved from the first tray to the second tray, rotates about a turning shaft, and presses a first portion of the sheet toward the second tray by making a pressing portion of the first member contact with the first portion. A second member, when the sheet is moved from the first tray to the second tray, protrudes toward the second tray at a position between the turning shaft and the pressing portion of the first member, and presses a second portion of the sheet toward the second tray, the second portion being located downstream of the first portion.

DUAL-STAGE SHEET STACKING AND DROPPING APPARATUS
A method for rapidly stacking and dropping sheets is provided. The method comprises receiving a plurality of sheets from a sheet delivery device onto a landing platform of a stacking and dropping apparatus. The method also comprises lowering the landing platform from an original upper position. Lowering comprises maintaining a drop height between the sheet delivery device and a stack of delivered sheets. The method also comprises sending a delay signal that comprises a command to delay the receiving of the plurality of sheets from the sheet delivery device. The delay signal is sent in response to a detection of a predetermined stack height of the stack of delivered sheets. The method also comprises sending a movement signal, immediately following the sending of the delay signal. The movement signal comprises a command to move the landing platform, such that the plurality of sheets are received by a catch tray unit. The method also comprises dropping, utilizing the catch tray unit, the plurality of sheets onto a sheet receiving device. The method also comprises returning, automatically, the landing platform to the original upper position. The method also comprises sending a resume signal, that includes a command to the sheet delivery device to resume sheet delivery. The delay signal, movement signal and resume signal are sent by a central processor component of the stacking and dropping apparatus.

Method and machine for forming bag packs
According to a method for forming packs of flat bags, a continuous line of bags moving in an oriented direction of advance is received. The bags are moved onto a receiving table on which the bags are stacked while being stopped from moving in the oriented direction of advance by an abutment. The continuous line of bags is converted into a line of overlapped bags before stacking the latter, and the bags are separated on the receiving table by separating means comprising a separating device. During this operation, a separating device is inserted by a movement in the separating direction perpendicular to the plane of the bags between a preceding bag and a following bag in the overlapped line in such a way that, when the following bag stops against the abutment, it is supported at least partially by the separating means.
PRINTER
A printer includes a print head configured to print on recording paper, a first roller, a cutter unit configured to cut the recording paper, and a presenter unit connected to the cutter unit and having a discharge slot from which the recording paper is discharged, wherein the recording paper on which the print head has printed enters the presenter unit through the cutter unit, and comes out from the discharge slot, and wherein the presenter unit includes a second roller configured to convey the recording paper, a flapper disposed along a transportation path of the recording paper between the second roller and the cutter unit and configured to be flipped open to outside the presenter unit to expose the transportation path, and a recording paper sensor disposed between the second roller and the discharge slot, wherein detection of the recording paper by the recording paper sensor causes the second roller to stop rotating, and causes the flapper to be flipped open to outside the presenter unit.
Bill recycling mechanism
The invention discloses a bill recycling mechanism, which includes a box body, provided with a bill outlet; a bill tray, including a first door and a second door, which are oppositely arranged, and used for receiving and guiding bills to the bill outlet; and a double door driving assembly, used for driving the first door and the second door to be opened or closed, wherein the first door and the second door are pivotally opened and pivoted into a bill storage space below the first door and the second door. According to the bill recycling mechanism, the bills directly fall into the bill storage space below the double doors when the first door and the second door are opened, so that a bill recycling speed is increased.

High speed multi-bin card collation system
An automated high speed multi-bin card collation system that takes die cut greeting cards at high speeds and diverts them on a customer by customer basis into multiple bins. A series of diverters are included that actuate between customer jobs to divert and collate the jobs independently into the bins. Each bin has a retractable floor that allows the individualized jobs to be collated prior to dropping onto a conveyor system. The conveyor then conveys the collated card jobs to a downstream location.
