Device for stacking notes of value
A device for stacking notes of value includes at least one circulating belt arrangement including an endless belt guided over rollers serving as deflecting elements. The circumferential surface of the belt has at least one transport tongue into which at least a section of a note of value is insertable. The device includes at least one strip-off element that contacts the note for the removal from the transport tongue. The device includes a contact element which is arranged and configured such that during the transport in the transport tongue the note moves the contact element into a first position. The contact element contacts an area of the note at least after the removal of the note of value from the transport tongue up to the arrival of this note on the deposit surface or on the upper note of value of a value note stack deposited on the deposit surface.
MEDIUM DISCHARGING DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MEDIUM DISCHARGING DEVICE
A medium discharging device includes a discharge roller pair that discharges a medium, a discharge tray disposed below the discharge roller pair in a vertical direction and having a placement surface on which the discharged medium is placed, and a guide member that is advanced and retracted between an advanced position where the guide member is advanced inward in a width direction from opposite sides in the width direction intersecting a discharge direction of the medium and a retracted position where the guide member is retracted to an end portion position side in the width direction. When the guide member is disposed at the advanced position, an upstream side end portion of the guide member in the discharge direction is disposed between a discharge position by the discharge roller pair and a position of the placement surface of the discharge tray, in the vertical direction.

Postal sorting machine having a sorting outlet jogger provided with a quick-release helical-blade wheel
A postal sorting machine comprises an unstacker in a mailpiece feed inlet, a sorting conveyor, and sorting outlets, each of which is provided with a receptacle designed for storing the mailpieces in a stack and on an edge. Each sorting outlet is provided with a wheel having a helical blade. The wheel projects through an opening in the bottom of the receptacle and is mounted on a transmission shaft. The transmission shaft is disposed under the receptacle to impart a rotary movement to the helical blade so that the helical blade pushes the base of a current mailpiece in the receptacle against the stack of mailpieces that is being formed. The wheel is also mounted on the transmission shaft by being clipped by moving in translation across the axis of rotation of the transmission shaft.
Post-processing apparatus and control method
A post-processing apparatus for an image forming apparatus includes a processing tray on which a sheet bundle is placed for discharging onto a discharge tray, a detector configured to detect presence or absence of the sheet bundle on the processing tray, and a controller. The controller is configured to control driving of the processing tray to discharge the sheet bundle onto the discharge tray and to determine whether or not to output an error if a detection result of the detector after the processing tray has been driven to discharge the sheet bundle onto the discharge tray indicates presence of the sheet bundle. The controller outputs the error if the sheet bundle is not a last sheet bundle of a post-processing job and does not output the error if the sheet bundle is the last sheet bundle of the post-processing job.

SHEET DISCHARGING APPARATUS, SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharging apparatus includes a first detecting portion provided in an apparatus body and configured to detect a move of a movable member in a state where a movable tray is at an upper limit position in a moving direction of the movable tray, wherein a detection result of the first detecting portion changes depending on a position of the movable tray in the moving direction. In addition, a second detecting portion detects the position of the movable tray in the moving direction, and a control portion, in a case where the second detecting portion detects that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, determines whether a sheet is present on the movable tray based on the detection result of the first detecting portion. When the second detecting portion does not detect that the movable tray is at the upper limit position, the control portion determines that a sheet is present on the movable tray regardless of the detection result of the first detecting portion.
