Ticket burster
Embodiments of a ticket burster employ a dividing wall that is movable between different positions to facilitate dispensing tickets of different sizes, and a sensor that detects and communicates the position of the dividing wall to a controller. The controller communicates with feed motors to selectively operate feed drive rollers independently or in unison depending upon the detected position of the dividing wall.
Container cover, dispenser and method of use
A container cover and dispenser system is disclosed herein. The cover fits over a container and allows a user to access contents through an opening. The cover may include a notch to leave an open section for a user to access the contents. The dispenser may hold a roll of container covers that may be pulled out and individually removed from the roll. The dispenser may include a protrusion to create a tab and notch design on the removed covers to facilitate users' access of the contents.

A dispenser for bags is disclosed. The dispenser is capable of storing a roll of bags and dispensing individual bags therefrom. In addition, a dispensing system for use in dispensing individual bags from a wound roll of continuously and detachably connected bags is disclosed.

Apparatus for perforating a nonlinear line of weakness
A perforating apparatus has a base having at least one counter component. The counter component has a length, L.sub.CC, and a nonlinear shape having a shape width, W. A support is operatively engaged with the base. A blade having a length, L.sub.B, is disposed on the support so as to cooperate in interacting relationship with the counter component. The blade has a plurality of teeth. A web material is perforated as it passes between the base and the support and the blade cooperates with the counter component. A driving means is associated with one of the support and the base to reciprocally shift the one of the support or the base for a distance, D, in a shifting direction. The distance, D, is at least the translational distance that one tooth travels to cover the shape width, W.

An apparatus and a method for processing a digitally printed-on paper web, conveyed continuously through the apparatus includes a perforating tool for perforating the paper web transverse to its movement direction, and a cutting tool for cutting print sheets from a downstream end of the paper web. The tools are attached spaced-apart to a tool carrier which can be moved to two operating positions in which respectively one of the tools can be made to engage with a counter tool on a rotating cutting drum.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUTTING A METALLIC FILM
A method for cutting a metallic film is disclosed. The method includes: feeding the metallic film between a scoring blade and an anvil at a first speed; feeding a first protective film between the metallic film and the scoring blade; feeding a second protective film between the metallic film and the anvil; moving the scoring blade toward the anvil for applying a pressure onto the first protective film, the metallic film, and the second protective film disposed between the scoring blade and the anvil for making a score along a width of the protective film; and pulling the metallic film having passed between the scoring blade and the anvil at a second speed. The second speed being greater than the first speed. A difference between the first and second speeds causes the metallic film to cut at the score. A system for cutting a metallic film is also disclosed.
SEPARATION UNIT AND A DISPENSER COMPRISING A SEPARATION UNIT
A separation unit for separating a web material along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit has a width direction and includes a first roller having a rotational axis extending in the width direction and a web width extending in the width direction, and a second roller having a rotational axis extending parallel with the rotational axis of the first roller and a web width extending in the width direction. The second roller is positioned at a distance from the first roller. Each of the first and the second rollers is provided with a plurality of protrusion elements being spaced along the rotational axes and protruding perpendicular from the axes. Each of the protrusion elements has a maximum width in the width direction, a maximum radial extension from the rotational axes, an inner portion adjacent to the rotational axes, and an outer portion remote from the rotational axes.
