A printing apparatus includes a first shaft around which an adhesive sheet in which a protective sheet is provided at an adhesive layer formed at a base material is wound, a second shaft around which the protective sheet peeled off from the adhesive sheet fed out from the first shaft is wound, a driving mechanism configured to rotate the second shaft, an upper surface configured to support the adhesive sheet from which the protective sheet is peeled off and the adhesive layer is exposed, a guide portion configured to cause a fabric to pass through an upper position in a vertically upward direction of the first shaft and the second shaft and guide the fabric toward the upper surface, and a printing unit configured to perform printing on the fabric attached to the adhesive sheet in the upper surface.

Removable media tray having a rack and pinion media length sensing mechanism operable by a rear restraint
A removable media tray for an imaging device having a rear media restraint coupled to a media length sensing system. A rear media restraint, slideably latchable to a track in the tray, has a rack that engages with a gear train that drives an encoder gear. As the rear media restraint is adjusted for different media lengths, the rack and gear train rotate the encoder gear. The encoder gear has a plurality of encoder tracks each track having a unique binary pattern. A sensor array of a plurality of sensors corresponding to the plurality of encoder tracks has a plurality of outputs that combine to form a digital signal fed to a controller in the imaging device allowing the controller to determine a media length based in the position of the rear media restraint.
Recording medium conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
The apparatus includes a first clutch and a second clutch. The first clutch transmits rotation of the driving unit in a first rotation direction to the first feeding device without transmitting rotation of the driving unit in a second rotation direction that is reverse to the first rotation direction to the first feeding device. The second clutch transmits the rotation of the driving unit in the second rotation direction to the conveyance device and the double-side printing conveyance device and without transmitting the rotation of the driving unit in the first rotation direction to the conveyance device and the double-side printing conveyance device. The third transmission path is configured to transmit the rotation of the driving unit to a conveyance device. The fourth transmission path is configured to transmit the rotation of the driving unit to a double-side printing conveyance device.
SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet transport device includes a feeding unit that feeds out a sheet from a sheet stack unit, a driving shaft that rotates the feeding unit, plural bearing members that support the driving shaft rotatably at plural positions in an axial direction and restrict movement of the driving shaft in the axial direction, and a fixing member provided integrally with each of the bearing members to removably fix each of the bearing members to an opening and closing member that is opened and closed relative to the sheet stack unit.
SHEET SUPPLY DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet supply device detachably attachable to an image forming apparatus includes: a main body; a sheet supply roller; an external output gear; a clutch mechanism; and first and second transmission mechanisms. The main body is provided with a sheet supply tray on which a sheet is mountable. The sheet supply roller is in contact with a sheet mounted on the sheet supply tray and configured to rotate to supply the sheet toward the image forming apparatus. The external output gear is configured to output a driving force to an outside. The clutch mechanism is configured to transmit and interrupt a driving force from the image forming apparatus. The first transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the driving force received through the clutch mechanism to the sheet supply roller. The second transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the driving force received through the clutch mechanism to the external output gear.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a first folding roller, a second folding roller, a return conveyance passage, and a third folding roller. The conveyor conveys a sheet along a main conveyance passage in a conveyance direction. The second folding roller facing the first folding roller across the main conveyance passage conveys the sheet by a first conveyance amount. The return conveyance passage having a curvature is branched from the main conveyance passage at a branching position and is merged to the main conveyance passage at a merging position. The third folding roller facing the second folding roller across the return conveyance passage conveys the sheet by a second conveyance amount smaller than the first conveyance amount of the second folding roller. The second folding roller is on an outer peripheral side and the third folding roller is on an inner peripheral side of the return conveyance passage.
Image forming apparatus and supplying device
An image forming apparatus includes a storing-device body that is drawable from an image-forming-apparatus body, a supporting member attached to the storing-device body and that supports a stack of recording media from below, a feeding member that feeds a top one of the recording media on the supporting member into the image-forming-apparatus body, a moving mechanism that moves the supporting member such that the top one of the recording media on the supporting member comes into contact with the feeding member, a connecting mechanism that connects the moving mechanism to a drive source in conjunction with attaching of the storing-device body to the image-forming-apparatus body, an image forming section that forms an image on the recording medium fed by the feeding member, and a disabling mechanism that disables connection between the drive source and the moving mechanism in conjunction with pushing of the storing-device body into the image-forming-apparatus body.
TAPE FEEDER AND METHOD FOR FEEDING COVER TAPE
A tape feeder of feeds a component supply tape to a predetermined supply position and peels off a cover tape from the carrier tape at the supply position to expose a component. The tape feeder includes a pair of feed gears configured to mesh with each other and sandwich the cover tape, a drive motor configured to rotationally drive the pair of feed gears such that the carrier tape is pulled in, a rotation gear directly or indirectly meshed with a first feed gear of the feed gears, a one-way clutch provided in the rotation gear such that the rotation gear idles with respect to rotation of the pair of feed gears in a direction in which the carrier tape is pulled in, and a torque limiter provided in the rotation gear or another rotation gear meshing with the rotation gear.
FRICTION TRANSPORT DEVICE AND PAPER SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE
A friction transport device includes a drive-side unit that transmits a transport driving force to one surface of a paper sheet transported along a transport path; a drive motor that supplies a driving force to the drive-side unit; a driven roller that is arranged to oppose the drive-side unit and that followingly rotates in contact with the other surface of the paper sheet; and a transport grip adjustment mechanism. The drive-side unit includes a drive roller that rotates on a shaft part orthogonal to a normal paper sheet transport direction, a rocking arm that includes the shaft part at one portion thereof and that has another portion thereof pivotally supported by a rocking shaft so as to change a transport grip by rocking the drive roller to change a distance from the driven roller, and an elastic biasing member that elastically biases the drive roller toward the driven roller via the rocking arm. The transport grip adjustment mechanism is configured to cause the drive roller to retreat in a direction away from the driven roller against a biasing force from the elastic biasing member to decrease the transport grip when transport load applied to the drive roller from the paper sheet transported on the transport path by the drive roller forwardly rotating changes beyond a predetermined value.
