Dental screwdriver
The disclosure relates to a dental screwdriver having a shaft portion made of a smart type alloy that bends with little or no resistance along an arch forming portion thereof and without imparting torqueing forces along a distal front end portion thereof onto which is connected a drive tip designed to interface with an appropriately sized screw. The smart alloy automatically assumes its original shape in the absence of twisting forces on the shaft along the arch forming portion. In an alternate embodiment, assuming the original shape involves applying heat and/or subtle finger pressure. The dental screwdriver may be part of a set of screwdrivers, each having a distal front end portion which is uniquely weighted, sized and/or dimensioned to accommodate different driver tips, handle different torqueing functions, and/or configured to bend to a specific maximum angular arch without permanent deformation. A dental prosthetic having a curved bore cavity is also described.
Demonstration instrument
[Object] To provide, for a composite resin (CR) having a wide range of applicable colors (shades) (wide-ranging color applicable CR), such as a CR having light diffusion properties and a CR that produces color by means of a structural color, a technology with which an excellent effect, specifically, an increased breadth (number) of applicable shades in comparison to an existing CR other than a wide-ranging color applicable CR, can be achieved. [Solving Means] For example, in a demonstration instrument, a plurality of samples is prepared, a single wide-ranging color applicable CR has been used to restore a cavity in artificial teeth each having a different shade, the cavity being formed at a predetermined position of the artificial teeth, and the plurality of samples is disposed side by side and fixed on a display surface of a display plate, thereby making it possible to compare/contrast conditions of restored portions of the samples to each other and the color tone applicability thereof to those of a teeth to be restored.
METAL OXIDE CERAMIC MATERIAL, PRECURSORS, PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a green body, a pre-ceramic body and a ceramic body based on metal oxide particles, in particular zirconium oxide. The present invention also relates to the method of producing said materials and to the use thereof, in particular in the field of dentistry.
Zirconia sintered body and method for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing a zirconia sintered body includes molding a powder composition that has a yttria content of more than 3% by mole and 5.2% by mole or less and that contains a first zirconia powder having a yttria content of 2% by mole or more and 4% by mole or less and a second zirconia powder having a yttria content of more than 4% by mole and 6% by mole or less to obtain a green body, and sintering the green body to obtain a sintered body.
Endodontic instrument
An endodontic file, for manual or motor driven use by an endodontist, includes a color-coded handle, a shank, and a serrated cutting edge. The cutting edge of the endodontic file is side-cutting with pyramidal teeth and ends in a pointed tip. The endodontic file is used manually inside the root canal in an “up and down” axially aligned motion and these pyramidal teeth will provide a ripping action. A second type of endodontic file has a curved cross section and a sharpened tip. with pyramidal teeth lining the edges of curved blade section. A third type of endodontic file has a flat debriding side which tapers to a point; with a series of adjacent 3-D pyramids emerging from this surface for removing loose material or in urging already loosened material from a root canal.
Screw-retained abutment with off-axis feature and methods of making and using same
An abutment is provided with a screw access hole and a slot in its sidewall adapted to allow a driver to access a screw in the screw access hole at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the screw. The abutment may include a screw seat and may be connected to an implant via a screw in the screw seat. A prosthesis, which may include a driver access channel that has a diameter less than the outer diameter of the drive portion of the screw, may be placed over the abutment. Methods of making a dental prosthesis and methods of attaching and removing the dental prosthesis from the implant are also disclosed.
Process for the production of a dental restoration
The invention relates to a process for the production of a dental restoration, in which an oxide ceramic material (a) is subjected to a first heat treatment, (b) is subjected to a second heat treatment and (c) is cooled,
wherein the heat treatment in step (a) is effected at lower pressure than the heat treatment in step (b).
Fixation pin
A fixation pin for fixing a dental drill template. The fixation pin has a head having a bearing surface that is intended to bear at least partially on the drill template, or a sleeve provided in the drill template. The fixation pin has a rod having a shape of an essentially circular cylinder and extending from the bearing surface at an essentially right angle. The rod is intended to be inserted into the drill template or the sleeve provided in the drill template.
Method of Manufacturing a Zirconium Dioxide Green Body with Color and Translucency Gradients
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a ceramic molding, comprising the following steps: a) providing three or more ceramic powder layers that are arranged in layers, one on top of the other, to form a compression-molded element and sintering the compression-molded element obtained in step b) to form a ceramic molding, characterized in that the ceramic powder layers have different compositions, each ceramic powder layer comprising a mixture of at least two different base powders and each base powder containing at least 80 wt. % ZrO.sub.2 and at least 0.02 wt. % Al.sub.2O.sub.3, each weight amount being relative to the total weight of the constituents of the base powder.
Zirconium Dioxide Green Body with Color and Translucency Gradients
The invention relates to a sintered molding with a color gradient for use in the manufacture of dental restorations, obtainable by sintering a compression-molded element comprising five or more different ceramic powder layers, each powder layer comprising at least two different base powders and each base powder containing at least 80 wt. % ZrO.sub.2, each weight amount being relative to the total weight of the base powder.
