Methods and systems for locating marks on orthodontic appliances
A computer-implemented method for marking an object on an aligner. The aligner surface is modeled. The method includes calculating a normal for each tile in a tessellated surface and disqualifying a tile from being selected. For tiles not disqualified, a patch is identified that produces a markable area. The method includes selecting an object to be marked, calculating a location of the object in the markable area, and providing the location of the object to a marking device. Disqualifying includes comparing an angle between a normal and an orientation of the beam to an origin of the calculated normal on each tile. Disqualifying includes disqualifying the at least one tile when the angle is outside of a range of −90° to +90°. Identifying the patch includes separating the patch into at least two smaller patches, and one of the two smaller patches of tiles is the markable area.
Cleaning appliance
A dental cleaning appliance includes a handle and a fluid delivery system for delivering a burst of working fluid to the teeth of a user. Part of the fluid delivery system is moveable relative to the handle as the appliance is moved along the teeth of the user. A sensor provides an output which varies with movement of that part of the fluid delivery system relative to the handle. A control circuit actuates the delivery of working fluid to the teeth of the user depending on the output from the sensor.
DENTAL FORMULA INFORMATION INPUT METHOD, DENTAL FORMULA INFORMATION INPUT DEVICE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A dental formula information input method and a dental formula information input device for automatically inputting dental formula information about teeth are disclosed. The dental formula information input method creates a library from dental formula information about teeth universally used for prosthetic work, and then automatically inputs the dental formula information about teeth through one click on the basis of the library, thereby minimizing work steps and enabling an increase in the convenience and usability of a user inputting cases relating to prosthetic work.
Ridge Care
The disclosed denture and gum material will allow patients to function in chewing and speech with confidence. The Ridge Care will provide a more comfortable fitting denture with better suction. It will allow for a more natural feel, and better shock absorption when chewing as well as, looking more natural. The disclosure includes a palatal denture defining multiple lingual retention holes adjacent a patient's gums designed to enable a better suction of the denture against an inside lingual surface of the patient's mouth via a transfer of pressure there across. The disclosure additionally includes an impression formed hard material liner formed to a gum contour of the patient's gums and configured to sit against the palatal denture and the lower denture. The disclosure further includes a soft material liner disposed on the hard material liner, the soft material liner configured to sit against the patient's palatal gums and lower gums.
DENTAL STONE POWDER AND FIBER REINFORCED DENTAL STONE COMPRISING THE SAME
Fibers, for example fiberglass fibers, are added to dental stone powders to provide for reinforced dental stones. Dental stones are made by combining dry components, including binder and fiber glass, adding water to the resulting mixture and setting the mixture in a dental mold. The dental stones are reinforced by the fibers, and allow for reduced breaking or chipping during handling.
Orthodontic composite and method for preparing same
Disclosed is an orthodontic composite, comprising: an orthodontic member which has a tube shape, a hollow polygonal prism shape, a hollow truncated polygonal pyramid shape, a hollow truncated cone shape, or a funnel shape; and an orthodontic wire that is inserted into the hollow portion of the orthodontic member, wherein the orthodontic member includes a water-soluble or biodegradable material. Thereby, the orthodontic composite of the present invention making it simple to perform orthodontic treatment by attaching the orthodontic composite.
Orthodontic member and method for producing same
Disclosed is an orthodontic member, having a tube shape, a hollow polygonal prism shape, a hollow truncated polygonal pyramid shape, a hollow truncated cone shape, or a funnel shape, and including a water-soluble or biodegradable material, wherein the orthodontic member into which a wire is inserted is attached to the teeth, thereby making it simple to perform orthodontic treatment.
DENTAL IMPLANT, COMPONENT FOR DENTAL APPLICATIONS, IMPLANT SYSTEM FOR DENTAL APPLICATIONS, METHOD FOR FORMING A PROTECTIVE LAYER ON THE SURFACE OF AN IMPLANTABLE OR IMPLANT COMPONENT, IMPLANTABLE OR IMPLANT COMPONENT HAVING A PROTECTIVE LAYER, AND USE OF A PROTECTIVE LAYER
The present invention provides Dental implant configured to be inserted into a hole in jaw bone and to be at least partially situated in bone tissue when implanted, comprising: a coronal implant region, the surface of which is at least partly covered by an oxide layer with an average thickness in the range from 60 nm to 170 nm and has an average arithmetical mean height Sa in the range from 0.1 μm to 1.0 μm. Further provided is a component for dental applications, preferably dental abutment, wherein the surface of the component is at least partly covered by an oxide layer with an average thickness in the range from 60 nm to 170 nm and has an average arithmetical mean height Sa in the range from 0.05 μm to 0.5 μm and an implant system comprising the dental implant and the component. Method for forming a protective layer on the surface of an implantable or implant component, the method comprising a) applying a solution on the surface of component, the solution having a pH at 25° C. of 6.8 or less and b) drying the solution applied in step a) to form a protective layer on the surface of the component for dental applications. Finally, part of the present invention is an implantable or implant component having a protective layer obtainable as above and a use of such layer for storage.
Monochromatic dental shaped article and blank for making dental restorations
Monochromatic dental shaped body, which has an opacity of from 70 to 78%, and a process for its production.
PACKAGING DEVICE AND PACKAGING TRACTION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
A packaging device containing at least one placing cavities and containers of orthodontic bracket. The containers of orthodontic bracket can be connected in series, and the containers of orthodontic bracket which have been connected in series can be placed in the placing cavities. The container of orthodontic bracket includes a placement portion, and the orthodontic brackets can be placed in the containers. The packaging device of the present invention provides containers that can specifically fix the orthodontics brackets and can be connected in series. The containers that have been connected in series can be placed in the placing cavities of the package to reduce space. The compact package is convenient for large-scale transportation.
