ILLUMINATION DEVICE FOR AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ILLUMINATING AN ELEVATOR SHAFT
An illumination device is used for illuminating an elevator shaft of an elevator system. The illumination device includes at least one light source and can illuminate an elevator shaft of the elevator system such that the illumination device indicates at least two states of the elevator system. The light source emits a first light signal when the elevator system is in a first state and a second light signal when the elevator system is in a second state, and wherein the difference between the first light signal and the second light signal is visible to a person in the elevator shaft.
Method for controlling an elevator and an elevator
An elevator includes a car with at least two car doors, each car door being provided with a door contact, a shaft being provided with corresponding landing doors, each landing door being provided with a door contact, each landing door opening in synchronism with the corresponding car door, the door contacts forming part of a safety circuit of the elevator, a car door contact input being connected to a middle point in the safety circuit between a series connection of the car door contacts and a series connection of the landing door contacts. A status information of the car door contact input is monitored in order to determine whether the door contacts are operational or not when the car doors are opened and/or closed with a predetermined time delay at a landing.

Elevator system having a central control unit and a plurality of field devices which communicate via a summation frame method
An elevator system has a central control unit for generating control signals and/or processing sensor signals and controlling functions of the system, a plurality of field devices distributed inside a structure accommodating the system, preferably along an elevator shaft, and a field bus system for interchanging the signals between the control unit and the field devices. Each field device outputs sensor signals generated by a sensor and/or receives control signals to be implemented by an actuator. Data packets including the signals are interchanged in a serial manner between the control unit and all field devices in a summation frame method using a closed ring topology. Each field device has a driver to insert the sensor signals into the data packet or to remove the control signals from the data packet. Data and signal transmission is thereby carried out quickly and safely in a safety circuit of the elevator system.

Elevator system
According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator system comprising an elevator car configured to move in an elevator shaft; a main safety controller comprising a main safety output and a secondary safety output, wherein the main safety output is configured to control machinery brakes of the elevator car; and a secondary safety circuit connected to the secondary safety output and arranged in the elevator car and comprising at least one safety contact configured to control stopping means arranged in the elevator car; wherein when the at least one safety contact is triggered the secondary safety circuit is configured to control the stopping means to cause stopping of the elevator car.
Resetting a state in an elevator system
The invention relates to a method for resetting a shaft access monitoring system of an elevator system. The method comprises: receiving an input from a user interface arranged in the elevator system, the input is provided with at least one input device of the user interface arranged to control an operation of the elevator system; comparing the received input to a reference value; and setting, in accordance with a comparison between the received input and the reference value, a detection result to express one of the following: (i) the shaft access monitoring system shall be reset, (ii) the shaft access monitoring system shall not be reset. The invention also relates to a control unit, to an elevator system and a computer program product.

Conveyance system video analytics
According to an aspect, a method includes capturing image data from a video camera at a conveyance system. Analytics of the image data can be initiated to determine a plurality of conditions of the conveyance system. A status of the conditions can be summarized as a metadata output. The metadata output can be transmitted to a support system operable to initiate a corrective action responsive to the status of the conditions.
