Landing door lock failsafe protection device
A landing door locking mechanism of an elevator system includes a body housing key-engagement elements and having a first end and a second end, the key-engagement elements located at the first end and a keyway structure, wherein in a first position the first end of the body is exposed such that a key may be inserted into a keyway of the keyway structure and interact with the key-engagement elements. A biasing mechanism is configured to bias a moveable portion of the body toward a second position, wherein in the second position a key cannot interact with the key-engagement elements and a solenoid is configured to apply a force on the moveable portion of the body when the solenoid is energized such that the moveable portion of the body is moved from the second position to the first position.

A door frame system comprises a wall and a door frame. The door frame comprises a sub-buck portion and a shell portion, coupled to the sub-buck portion. The sub-buck portion comprises a sub-buck mounting arm including at least one mounting aperture, a sub-buck rabbet arm coupled to one end of the sub-buck mounting arm and a sub-buck support arm coupled to the sub-buck mounting arm opposite the sub-buck rabbet arm. The sub-buck portion is surface mounted to a single surface of the wall through the at least one mounting aperture.

Elevator landing door lock assemblies and elevator landing doors having a lock with a keyway accessible from a landing of an elevator system, the lock operable to lock and unlock a landing door and a disengageable link operably connected to the lock and configured to prevent unlocking of the landing door when the disengageable link is not engaged. When an elevator car is aligned with the landing door, the disengageble link is engaged and completed such that the lock is operable to unlock and open the landing door, and, when an elevator car is not aligned with the landing door, the lock is not operable.
