Disclosed is an elevator inspection system, having: a sensor implement; a robotic platform, which is portable, supporting the sensor implement, the robotic platform configured for inspecting and performing maintenance in a hoistway; a controller operationally connected to the robotic platform and the sensor implement, wherein the controller is configured to: control movement of the robotic platform within a hoistway; and inspect one or more components in the hoistway to determine, from sensor data compared with hoistway model data, that an operational parameter or an alignment of the one or more components is outside predetermined positioning and operating tolerances.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT

A method for installing guide rails of an elevator in a hoistway includes installing one or more guide rails to form a vertical guide rail line; positioning an elevator car at a first position in the hoistway; placing a plurality of guide rails to stand in an upright position on the elevator car such that each of the guide rails rests on the floor structure of the elevator car; supporting the upper half of each of the guide rails laterally on the elevator car for blocking its lateral movement relative to the elevator car; hoisting the elevator car in the hoistway upwards to a second position, along the guide rail line; and installing a guide rail belonging to said plurality into the elevator hoistway on top of the guide rail line for extending the guide rail line vertically, thereby making the guide rail being installed to form the uppermost section of the guide rail line. An installation arrangement of guide rails is provided for implementing the method.

Elevator system rails

An elevator system includes one or more elevator cars configured to travel along a hoistway. One or more rails extend along the hoistway and are operably connected to the one or more elevator cars to guide the one or more elevator cars along the hoistway. Each rail of the one or more rails includes a plurality of rail segments arranged end to end. Each rail segment is affixed to a hoistway wall to transfer vertical loads from the rail segment to the hoistway wall. Each rail segment is secured to the hoistway wall via a plurality of rail support brackets. The vertical loads are transferred from the rail segment to the hoistway wall via at least one rail support bracket of the plurality of rail support brackets.

LOCATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A CURRENT POSITION IN AN ELEVATOR SHAFT OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM

A locating system for determining a current position in an elevator shaft of an elevator system extending in a main extension direction includes a first distance sensor by which a first distance and a second distance, which second distance is perpendicular to the first distance, from a first reference element can be measured, as well as a tilt sensor by which a rotation about a horizontal first axis and a horizontal second axis perpendicular to the first axis can be measured, and a measuring system by which a position of the locating system can be determined in the main extension direction of the elevator shaft.

Wall securing assembly for securing an elevator component

A wall securing assembly is integrated into an elevator shaft wall for securing a guide rail to the wall. The wall has a first concrete region that is reinforced with reinforcements and a second concrete region that is not reinforced. The second region covers the first region and has a surface that is exposed to the surroundings. The securing assembly has an elongated profile of C-shaped cross-section embedded solely into the second region and oriented in the vertical direction of the wall. Since tensile forces acting on a guide rail in an elevator shaft are very low, it is acceptable to secure the guide rail to the profile that is cast into the second region covering the reinforcement. The profile is anchor element-free and can be arranged in the wall vertically whereby guide rail holding consoles can be secured to the profile at any height.

METHOD AND ASSEMBLY DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT AN INSTALLATION PROCESS IN AN ELEVATOR SHAFT OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM

A method and a mounting device for carrying out an installation operation in an elevator shaft of an elevator system include a mounting device having a carrier component and a mechatronic installation component held on the carrier component. In a displacement phase, the carrier component is displaced relative to the elevator shaft and positioned at different heights within the elevator shaft. In a mounting phase, a mounting step is carried out at least partially automatically, wherein a mounting device is removed from a magazine component disposed on the carrier component and installed on a shaft wall of the elevator shaft. In a stocking phase, a magazine component is stocked with mounting devices outside the elevator shaft and, in a loading phase, the stocked magazine component is disposed on the carrier component.
