Cask transport assembly

A low profile transport device includes a frame having a top surface and a recess disposed along the top surface to hold and transport an object. The low profile transport device also includes a plurality of wheels disposed below the frame that support the frame, and a plurality of pivotable wheel struts coupled to the wheels. The wheel struts are each individually adjustable relative to the frame from a first position relative to the frame to a second position relative to the frame to allow the low profile transport device to climb an obstacle without tilting the frame. The low profile transport device also includes a motor that generates movement of the wheels.

A gantry system has at least one crane assembly, at least one support post, and at least one hoist. The crane assembly has a stationary base, a rotating base, and a crane arm. The rotating base is attached to both the stationary base and the crane arm in such a ways as to allow the rotating base and the crane arm to rotate while the stationary base remains stationary. The crane arm is supported on its far end by a support post. The crane assembly is configured such that the support post rests on an in-place girder. A hoist is attached and can move along the crane arm to position a railway component, such as a replacement girder and/or a precast panel.

The device includes a wheeled support including a hose lifting device and a hose support element. The hose lifting device is vertically movable between a raised position and a lowered position and is adjustable between a lifting state and a non-lifting state. The hose support element is adjustable between a support state and a non-support state. The hose lifting device is, when lowered to be at the hose, adjusted to engage and lift the hose. As the hose lifting device lifts the hose upward, the hose support element is automatically adjusted from the non-support state to the support state to support the lifted hose.

The following steps are also included: setting an increment value of the moveable pointer in a direction consistent with respect to the steering movement of the wheel assembly; calculating the angular difference between the angular position of the moveable pointer and the current position of the wheel assembly; andincreasing the increment value of the moveable pointer if the difference shows a decrease, or decreasing the increment value of the moveable pointer if the difference shows an increase.

A transport vehicle includes a base, wheels connected to the base, and load receiving elements. At least two of the wheels have a track width therebetween in each of a transverse drive and in a longitudinal drive. The track width in the longitudinal drive and the track width in the transverse drive are each variable. The transport vehicle is transports a load having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction between the wheels. The transport vehicle is drivable both in the transverse drive and in the longitudinal drive.

An arrangement in connection with a movable hoisting apparatus includes at least one imaging device and a processor provided in connection with the movable hoisting apparatus. The imaging device is adapted to save images which at least partly present the surroundings of the hoisting apparatus. The processor is adapted to identify at least one identifiable object from at least two images saved at different time instants and to determine the direction and speed of travel of the hoisting apparatus based on the position of the identifiable object in the images.

Wheeled concrete supply hose moving device

A wheeled hose moving device that is movable over a support surface and that is operable to grasp, lift and move a concrete supply hose at the support surface. The device includes a wheeled support including a hose grasping device and at least one hose support element. The hose grasping device includes a pair of grasping arms configured to grasp and release a concrete supply hose. The hose grasping device is vertically movable between a raised position and a lowered position. The hose support element includes a pair of support arms that pivot relative to one another. The pair of grasping arms move from their opened state toward their closed state to engage and grasp the concrete supply hose. As the grasping device raises the grasped hose upward, the support arms pivot from their opened state toward their closed state to support the grasped and raised hose.

The sensor device, in an operating position, is arranged outside the clearance profile on the gantry lifting device so as, in the operating position, to read the row of marking elements for the navigation of the gantry lifting device, where the row of marking elements is arranged next to the clearance profile of the gantry lifting device.

A method for steering a gantry crane having wheel assemblies includes the steps of: initiating movement of the gantry crane; and rotating the wheel assemblies wherein the front wheel assemblies rotate in a first rotational direction and the rear wheel assemblies rotate in a second rotational direction. The first rotational direction is opposite to the second rotational direction. First side wheel assemblies rotate at a first rotational speed and second side wheel assemblies rotate at a second rotational speed, such that the gantry crane moves from a linear path to an arcuate path with a turning radius decreasing to substantially zero for rotation about a central axis.
