MULTIMODALITY FOLDABLE MULTIPLE SMALL ANIMAL HOLDER
20230255739 · 2023-08-17 · ·

A holding device for simultaneously holding several small animals includes at least three beds each for a small animal. Each bed is attached to a respective holder element. The holding device is geometrically constructed and mechanically configured where two of the holder elements can be moved together with their respective beds above a third holder element without changing the vertical orientation of the beds being attached to the two holder elements. This provides a compact holding device for a multitude of small animals facilitating flexible and easy access to each small animal when attached to the holder for generating a 3D image of all animals at the same time, e.g., in an MRI, PET, CT scanner or the like. The holding system is easy to use, in particular for rats or mice, and can easily be applied in a wide variety of locations through its small and compact construction.

A dart syringe projectile includes a tubular body front and rear ends and a bore extending between said ends. A needle assembly is mounted on the body front end and a tail assembly is mounted on the body rear end. The body bore or the tail assembly receives a striker, a percussion cap positioned in front of the striker, an explosive charge positioned in front of the percussion cap and a plunger positioned in front of the explosive charge. A reservoir cavity in front of the plunger receives a substance for injection. The dart syringe projectile has a flight configuration with the substance in the reservoir cavity and an injection configuration with the plunger propelled forwardly by the explosive charge and the substance discharged from discharge ports in the needle, which are in spaced relation behind a needle tip.

Conversion of nitrogen dioxide (NO.SUB.2.) to nitric oxide (NO)

Various systems, devices, NO.sub.2 absorbents, NO.sub.2 scavengers and NO.sub.2 recuperator for generating nitric oxide are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, an apparatus for converting nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide can include a receptacle including an inlet, an outlet, a surface-active material coated with an aqueous solution of ascorbic acid and an absorbent wherein the inlet is configured to receive a gas flow and fluidly communicate the gas flow to the outlet through the surface-active material and the absorbent such that nitrogen dioxide in the gas flow is converted to nitric oxide.

WILDLIFE TRACKING SYSTEM
20220117201 · 2022-04-21 ·

The present disclosure relates to a system for tracking wildlife such as game animals. The tracking system includes a drone that has a camera and a dart dispenser that dispenses a dart with a location transmitter. The drone sends images from the camera to a remote controller, where a user pilots the drone and observes animals for disease or other behaviors, and sends instructions to dispense the dart. The real-time location of the dart is then provided to a mobile application for use in tracking or hunting the animal.
