Portable winch
A portable winch and method of use is shown. One advantage of winches shown includes an ability to lower a boom or boom sections into limited access exit pit for winching operations such as pipe bursting. Sectional boom designs shown provide the ability to easily raise and lower a boom large distances without the need for a single long boom. Selected winch designs shown include flexible inserts between the boom and the winch frame that help resist damage from unforeseen shifting of the device during operation. Designs and methods shown also include multiple pulleys on a boom end unit. Fasteners are shown that reduce build up of debris.

PULLEY BLOCK
A pulley block that includes a first side plate, a second side plate and an axle received in the first side plate and the second side plate. The axle is fixed with the first side plate and in a floating relationship with the second side plate such that the second side plate is retained on the axle and capable of rotating around the axle. The axle defines a central opening configured for receiving a soft shackle and a pulley supported on the axle between the first side plate and the second side plate in a longitudinal direction of the axle. The pulley is configured for receiving a winch line around an outer perimeter thereof. Also a method of installing a winch line on such a pulley block.
SNATCH RING FOR OFF-ROAD VEHICLE RECOVERY
A snatch ring for off-road vehicle recovery has an annular core and an outer sheave. The outer sheave has an outer winch line groove and the annular core and the outer sheave are concentric. The annular core is rotatably engaged to the outer sheave so that the annular core and the outer sheave can rotate with respect to each other about an axis of rotation. The annular core has an anchor loop passage therethrough.
Parachute cord tie down
A first sidewall includes a pair of threaded bosses nesting within corresponding cavities in a second sidewall. Bolts extend through the cavities into threaded engagement with the bosses to secure the sidewalls with one another. One of the bosses supports a knurled or toothed wheel for engagement with a parachute cord. A pivotable pawl having a knurled or toothed surface is pivotably supported on a shaft anchored in the sidewalls and spring biased toward the wheel into engagement with the parachute cord to prevent translation of the parachute cord in one direction. The other boss supports a hook or cord for anchoring the tie down to an anchor.

Cable block
A cable block including a frame having an upper section and a lower section together defining an inner opening. The lower section has a main sheave rotatably connected thereto, with a section of the main sheave defining a lower portion of the inner opening. The upper section is hingedly connected to the lower section at a pivot point, with a lever extending on an opposite side of the pivot point than the remaining of the upper section. The lever is configured to extend into the inner opening and be engageable with the support cable, when the cable block is configured in the open configuration, and to drive the upper section in rotation upon a force being exerted on the lever by the support cable, to move the cable block from an open configuration to a closed configuration.
BLOCK AND TACKLE FOR ANTI-TWISTING AND EASY OPEN GLOVE FRIENDLY SNAP
The pulley for a block and tackle system includes a shell, a sheave, and a pin. The shell includes a shell pinhole extending through the center of the shell. The sheave includes a sheave pinhole extending the center of the sheave. The pin extends through the shell pinhole and the sheave pinhole, the pin operable to fix a position of the sheave in two directions with respect to the shell. A swivel anchor point is connected to the shell; a hook is connected to the shell and opposite of the swivel anchor. A clasp is fixed to the opening of the hook, in which the hook is operable to connect the pulley to an object, and the clasp comprises wings extending outwardly from the latch.
PORTABLE POWER-DRIVEN SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a portable power-driven system, such as an ascender/descender arrangement, specifically in relation to means for ensuring that a rope used in relation to the portable power-driven system is securely handled when in the operational state.
Power transmission drive for robotic applications
A power transmission drive includes a force amplifier configured to increase power output of at least one motor. The force amplifier includes a first pulley set and a second pulley set, each pulley set including at least one floating pulley and at least one fixed pulley. The first pulley set and the second pulley set are coupled to one or more motors by a corresponding force amplification fiber in tension. Actuation of the one or more motors actuate the first pulley set and the second pulley set. The first pulley set and the second pulley set transmit the force applied by the one or more motors to an output component.
