Fluid transfer lid
A fluid transfer lid for removably coupling to pharmacy bottles or containers for withdrawing and/or delivering liquid medication or other fluid therefrom or thereto. In example forms, a syringe comprising a male or female connection tip couples with a transfer port of the lid, thereby allowing the transfer of fluids from the container and to the syringe.
BEVERAGE DISPENSING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A beverage dispensing system comprises a beverage dispenser electrically coupled to a point of sale. The point of sale has an input module, a beverage selection module, and a dispensing module. The input module includes a user interface configured to receive a user identification and a beverage selection. The beverage selection module receives data from the input module that includes the beverage selection and identifies an ingredient in the beverage selection. The dispensing module receives data from one or both of the input module and the beverage selection module that includes the beverage selection and the ingredient. The dispensing module also generates a beverage dispensing instruction based at least in part on the beverage selection and the ingredient. The beverage dispenser receives data from the dispensing module that includes the beverage dispensing instruction and dispenses a beverage according to the beverage dispensing instruction.
WATER DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A water dispensing apparatus includes a dispensing hole through which hot water is dispensed, a heating passage unit communicating with the dispensing hole; a heating unit for heating water flowing through the heating passage unit, an input unit for inputting a hot water dispensing command for dispensing the hot water through the dispensing hole, a hot water valve for adjusting a flow of the hot water heated in the heating passage unit, and a controller for controlling the heating unit.
Metering Machine For Filling Free-Flowing Media Into Cavities
A metering machine for filling free-flowing media into cavities of a mould that is to be filled is described. The metering machine has at least one independent metering unit which includes two dispensers, with a respective dedicated drive, and a nozzle unit. The nozzle unit is common to the two dispensers.
Method and apparatus for using gestures in a refrigerator dispensing system
A refrigeration device includes a refrigerated compartment, a door that seals the compartment, a dispenser opening in an exterior surface of the door, and a dispenser outlet in the opening. The refrigeration device also includes a reservoir configured to hold a substance and a conveyor configured to convey the substance from the reservoir to the dispenser outlet. Measurement sensors of the refrigeration device are configured to generate first measurement signals that are indicative a gesture of a hand in the dispenser opening. A control unit of the refrigeration device is configured to ascertain a requested fill height based upon the first measurement signals. The control unit is further configured to generate signals that cause the conveyor to convey the substance from the reservoir to a container placed under the dispenser outlet and cease conveying the substance upon the container attaining the requested fill level.
Spout and dispensing system
The present invention is related to a pouring device for a container for the dosing of liquid, said pouring device comprising: a) a housing b) a passage for the liquid within the housing; c) an electrical operated opening/closing mechanism for opening or closing the passage in order to dosing of a predetermined or registerable amount of liquid, characterized in that the passage comprising a flexible tube, and the opening/closing mechanism is to block the tube by squeezing the tube in order to close the passage. The tube inside the spout is the only path for the liquid to go through from the bottle, meanwhile the rest components are protected from liquid. This guaranties a quick and controlled flow of the liquid and avoids any air bubbles to influence the pour precision.
POUR SPOUT SIGNALING APPARATUS
A signaling apparatus paces a free pour count and choreographs a movement to stop pouring. The apparatus emits a first signal after an approximately 200-ms time interval and a series of subsequent signals every approximately 400-ms thereafter. The first time interval approximates a first time, measured from a moment the sensor detects the start of the pour, needed to dispense a first unit of beverage through the pour spout, minus a second time needed to react to a signal and stop the pour. The 400-ms time interval approximates the time required to dispense each subsequent unit of beverage through the pour spout. In one embodiment, the signaling apparatus emits sequential pulses according to the pattern Y-Y-Y-Y-G-Y-Y-R, wherein Y is yellow, G is green, and R is red, wherein each pulse represents a quarter-ounce increment, the green pulse represents a standard pour, and the red pulse represents a full pour.

SPILL PREVENTION FOR INTERCHANGEABLE LIQUID CONTAINERS
A dispenser system for a fluid container includes a two-stage valve having a chamber disposed in-between an active valve and a passive valve. The chamber and related components may be configured to encourage recapture and sealing of pooled fluid in the chamber under a variety of usage scenarios. The chamber may include a reservoir to recapture fluid that has pooled within the spout when the container is angled for a pour. At the same time, a number of channels may divert outbound fluid flow around the chamber during pouring to ensure that this recapture reservoir is not over-filled with fluid during high-flow-rate pouring scenarios. These two techniques may be used alone, or in combination to simultaneously address recapture of statically and dynamically disposed fluid within the spout.
