Method for producing acrylic acid
The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for efficiently producing acrylic acid while troubles not only in a waste oil handling after distillation of acrylic acid but also in a purification system of acrylic acid during distillation are reduced. The method for producing acrylic acid according to the present invention is characterized in comprising the step of supplying at least crude acrylic acid and an alcohol solvent to an acrylic acid distillation apparatus to distill acrylic acid, wherein a boiling point of the alcohol solvent is higher than a boiling point of acrylic acid by not lower than 50 C.

PROCESS FOR INSTALLING A SECTION OF PACKING IN A CASING
A casing having at least one tubular wall extending in a longitudinal direction (L) between two longitudinal ends, and an inner face of which participates in delimiting a receptacle for the section of packing, the tubular wall participating in delimiting an input opening at one of its longitudinal ends, the casing comprising a base wall positioned at the longitudinal end opposite the input opening, the casing configured to be positioned horizontally during a process for installing a section of packing. The casing can also include a device configured to assist installation of a section of packing in the casing, wherein the device can include: a cradle which extends in an extension of at least part of the tubular wall from the input opening, in the longitudinal direction, opposite the base wall, the cradle being configured to position the section of packing facing the input opening; a removable cone which is configured to guide the section of packing by centring the said section of packing on the input opening, wherein the longitudinal dimension of the cradle is larger than the longitudinal dimension of the removable cone.
MASS-TRANSFER APPARATUS
An apparatus for mass transfer between a liquid and a gas inside a rotor having a packing. The liquid is introduced at a center of the rotor and driven outward through the packing by centrifugal force generated by rotation of the rotor, and the gas surrounding the rotor is forced inward through the rotor by a pressure of the gas, counter to the liquid flow in the rotor. The packing inside the rotor is divided into individual packing segments that together form a circular disk. Each circular ring segment is formed by at least one structured packing comprised of a plurality of superimposed woven, knitted, mesh or lattice structured surfaces composed of metal, in particular sheet-metal strips, or plastic or glass fibers, to which the axis of rotation of the rotor runs perpendicular.
Crossflow tray for a mass transfer column, mass transfer column and use of the mass transfer column
The invention relates to a crossflow tray for a mass transfer column (27) in which a gas is conducted in countercurrent to a liquid, the crossflow tray (1) having passage orifices (3) for the gas and at least two downcomers (5), the downcomers (5) projecting beyond the top surface of the crossflow tray (1) and a collecting cup (13) being disposed beneath each downcomer (5). The downcomer (5) projects into the collecting cup (13), the minimum horizontal cross-sectional area of the collecting cup (13) is 1.2 to 4 times greater than the horizontal cross-sectional area of the downcomer (5) at the outlet, and the collecting cup (13) has a circumferential wall (15) having an overflow (19). The invention further relates to a mass transfer column comprising the crossflow trays and to a use of the mass transfer column.
