Disposable filter for a sink
A disposable filter for a sink including a substantially inverted disposed conical filter having a rounded conical apex and a continuous horizontally disposed circular bottom rim. A circular top rim is continuously disposed on a top surface of the bottom rim of the filter. A concave-shaped indentation is continuously disposed through each of an exterior edge of the bottom rim and an outer surface of the top rim. A plurality of tabs is attached to the outer surface of the top rim. An adhesive layer is disposed on a bottom surface of the bottom rim of the filter. The filter is removably disposed atop an exterior surface of a sink, with an exterior edge of the indentation disposed around an exterior surface of a base of a faucet.
FILTER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING SUCH A FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for separating a liquid mixture, including a vessel with first filter element. The vessel comprises a flat vessel base surface and vessel mantle surface. , including a housing with a second filter element. The housing comprises flat housing base surface and housing mantle surface. The vessel mantle surface comprises re-entrant section forming recess. A mating side of the housing mantle surface is configured to fit into the recess, whereby the re-entrant section and the mating side are provided with connection means to fluidly connect the first filter element with the second filter element. The re-entrant section extends from the vessel base surface, and the vessel base surface and the housing base surface are parallel and level in the same plane when the mating side of the housing mantle surface is fitted into the recess formed by the re-entrant section.

The present invention relates to systems, articles, and methods for removing water from hydrocarbon fluids. In an embodiment, the invention includes a water/fuel separation system including a filter housing and a filter element disposed within the filter housing. The filter element can include a separation article including a porous polymer layer having and a porous substrate comprising a hydrophobic surface. In an embodiment, the invention includes a filter element for separating emulsified water from a hydrocarbon fluid. In an embodiment, the invention includes a method for filtering water out of a hydrocarbon fluid including passing a hydrocarbon fluid through a separation article including a polymer layer comprising polytetrafluoroethylene; and a porous substrate comprising a hydrophobic surface, the polymer layer disposed on the porous substrate.
Composite media for water treatment processes and methods of using same
Systems and methods for treating a stream comprising hydrocarbons and an aqueous-based liquid are provided. The systems and methods may utilize a media composite comprising a mixture of a cellulose-based material and a polymer. In certain systems and methods, the media composite is capable of being backwashed. The stream comprising the hydrocarbons and aqueous-based liquid may be separated by contacting the stream with the media composite. In certain system and methods, the stream comprising the hydrocarbons and aqueous-based liquid may be coalesced by contacting the stream with the media composite.
FILTER MEDIUM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILTER MEDIUM, WATER TREATMENT MODULE, AND WATER TREATMENT DEVICE
The filter medium is a filter medium which uses a liquid containing oil and water as a separation target, and has a channel for the liquid. The filter medium includes a base constituting the channel, and one or more of nitrogen-containing fluorine compounds which are provided on at least a portion of a surface of the channel. The nitrogen-containing fluorine compound includes an oil-repellency imparting group and any one hydrophilicity imparting group selected from a group consisting of an anion type, a cation type, and an amphoteric type, in a molecule.
SEPARATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A filtration system and method is disclosed. The filtration system includes a separation system with a primary process vessel with a main body enclosing an internal volume, and a removable end cap coupled to one of the ends of the main body. The primary process vessel includes fluid apertures enabling a fluid stream to enter or exit the inner volume. The separation system includes a filter support positioned in the inner volume, and a filter assembly coupled to the filter support. In some embodiments, the separation system is fluidly coupled to another separation system.
A FILTER STRUCTURE FOR FUEL, A CARTRIDGE AND A FILTER GROUP
A filter structure (100) for fuel fluids comprising a first filter wall and a hydrophobic wall, characterised in that the hydrophobic wall is made of a material having a mean static angle that is equal to or greater than 90°, a receding contact angle θ.sub.rec that is less than 90° and a hysteresis H, between an advancing contact angle θ.sub.av and a receding contact angle θ.sub.rec, that is comprised between 50° and 80°.
Filter device
A filter device may include a filter housing and a filter element defining a longitudinal axis disposed in the filter housing. The filter element may be configured to be penetrated by a fluid flow in a radial direction from a raw end to a pure end of the filter element. A water separator may be disposed at the pure end of the filter element and arranged axially spaced from the same. The water separator may have a hydrophobic and annular diaphragm extending in an axial direction of the filter element configured to be penetrated by the fluid flow from a raw end of the water separator in a radially outward to a radially inward direction with respect to the longitudinal axis to separate water from the fluid flow.
WATER REUSE SYSTEM FOR PHYSICAL AND MICROBIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION OF WATER
Provided are systems and methods to effect separation of solids from fluid runoff from poultry and produce treatment trains. The systems include separation panels that operate using the Coanda effect so as to effect separation of solids without the need for electricity or moving parts.
