Device for hyperthermia treatment of itching
The invention relates to a device for hyperthermic treatment of itching, for example following insect bites, wherein during the treatment a treatment surface is regulated at a temperature of preferably between 42° C. and 56° C. for a period of 2 sec to 12 sec and a hardware-implemented temperature monitor limits the maximum temperature of the treatment surface and a safety fuse shuts off the device in the case of a short-circuit or uncontrolled continuous heating.
Applicator for cold treatment
Applicator (3) for cold treatment, comprising an applicator housing (5) with an inlet opening (18) and a leak tight tip (23). The applicator housing (5) encloses a channel body (20) extending between the inlet opening (18) and the leak tight tip (23). The applicator (3) is mounted or mountable in a releasable manner onto a pressurized dispenser (2) comprising a nozzle (7), such that the inlet opening (18) is in fluid communication with the nozzle (7). The applicator housing (5) is moveable between a rest position and a pressed position to activate the nozzle (7). The applicator housing (5) has release openings (26) which are closed in the pressed position.
ULTRASOUND TRANSDUCER AND SYSTEM FOR SKIN TREATMENTS
A method for treating skin, including: delivering one or more pulses of non-converging ultrasonic energy through a surface area size in a range of 3 mm.sup.2-7 mm.sup.2, wherein each pulse having an intensity in a range of 5 W/cm.sup.2-60 W/cm.sup.2 and a time duration in which the ultrasonic energy is actively transmitted in a range of 1-10 seconds per pulse, wherein the non-converging ultrasonic energy is delivered from a fixed position to one or more skin regions having a maximal surface area size in a range of 5 cm.sup.2-100 cm.sup.2.
HANDHELD MEDICAL COOLING DEVICE FOR COOLING A TARGET AREA OF A SUBJECT PATIENT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT AND METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a device and a method for cooling living tissues for a medical purpose and other purposes. The cooling device comprises: a container configured to accommodate a cooling medium and thermally coupled with the cooling medium by directly contacting the cooling medium; a cooling generator configured to be thermally coupled with the container by a direct contact and thereby to provide cooling energy to the cooling medium; and a heat sink dissipating heat from the cooling generator, the heat sing being configured to be spaced apart from the cooling generator and to be thermally coupled with the cooling generator without a direct contact with the cooling generator.
USE OF SACCHARIDES FOR CRYOPROTECTION AND RELATED TECHNOLOGY
A method in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present invention includes increasing a concentration of a modified or unmodified saccharide within a subject's skin, applying an applicator to the subject's skin, and cooling the subject's skin via a heat-transfer surface of the applicator. The saccharide within the subject's skin can enhance a resistance of at least some cells within the subject's skin to damage associated with the cooling. A corresponding system includes the applicator, the saccharide, and an energy-delivery device. The energy-delivery device can be configured to apply ultrasound, optical, thermal, or another type of energy to the subject's skin to drive the saccharide into the subject's skin. The system can also include a penetration enhancer configured to enhance penetration of the saccharide into the subject's skin. The penetration enhancer can be applied with the saccharide or separately.
COLD TREATMENT APPARATUS
There is a chiller for cooling a human body down to dissolve fat on a person's body. There is a device which includes a housing. The housing has at least one handle, and is configured to at least partially house a cold plate. The cold plate is also chilled by a chiller disposed inside of the housing. The chiller is at least partially disposed in the housing and is configured to have access to at least one vent. The at least one vent is positioned on the housing. In at least one embodiment, the at least one vent is positioned opposite the cold plate.
Cold therapy device and method
A cold therapy apparatus includes a thermal body wrap with umbilical to a control unit with pump for circulating a thermal fluid to remove heat from a body. A coolant heat exchange assembly includes a coolant tank that is filled with a coolant and has a heat exchanger inside that is immersed in the coolant. The heat exchanger is coupled to the control unit to circulate the thermal fluid through the thermal body wrap. The coolant heat exchange assembly is removed from the control unit and placed in a cold environment to chill the coolant, and is then re-coupled during cold therapy. The process is repeated form extended therapy periods.
Heating and cooling supply for facial brush
A skin treatment device especially for use for treating skin in terms of cleaning, exfoliating and/or massaging the skin. The device includes a housing and a skin treatment head releasably attached to the housing. The skin treatment head being rotatable around an axis element associated with the housing, wherein the housing encloses an actuator configured to rotate the skin treatment head, wherein the skin treatment head includes one or more brushes associated with a support element, wherein the device further includes a first thermally conductive element configured at a shortest distance to the one or more brushes selected from the range of 0-40 mm, and a thermoelectric element configured to heat in a first mode the first thermally conductive element to provide a hot surface.
