In some embodiments, an eye treatment device is disclosed, which includes a scleral shield positionable proximate an inner surface of an eyelid, the scleral shield being made of, or coated with, an energy-absorbing material activated by a light energy, and an energy transducer positionable outside of the eyelid, the energy transducer configured to provide light energy at one or more wavelengths, including a first wavelength selected to heat the energy-absorbing material.

ELECTRICALLY AND THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE ELECTRODE DEVICE WITH FAR INFRARED RADIATION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A far infrared electrically and thermally conductive electrode device includes an electrode set and a connection assembly, through which the electrode set is connected to the case of a host in a wireless way. The electrode set is both electrically and thermally conductive. The method for making the electrode of the electrode device includes steps of disposing an electrode protecting layer on a first side of a far infrared heating layer; disposing an electrode insulating layer on a second side of the far infrared heating layer; disposing an electrode layer on the surface of the electrode insulating layer; and covering the electrode layer with a conducting gel layer. Through the above-mentioned structure, the electrode set emits far infrared rays and generates heat when the host supplies power. The electrode set becomes conductive to simulate nerves of different layers of tissue under a person's skin.

INFANT WARMING SYSTEM AND METHOD

An infant warming system includes a bassinet having a platform configured to support an infant, at least one wireless physiological sensor configured to measure a physiological parameter from the infant and transmit physiological parameter data, and at least two radio frequency identification (RFID) readers. The RFID readers are configured to communicate with the at least one wireless physiological sensor to facilitate pairing therewith so as to enable receipt of the physiological parameter data from the wireless physiological sensors at the infant warmer system. The RFID readers each have a range distance that is less than a length of the platform and are positioned such that the wireless physiological sensor is in the range distance of at least one of the at least two RFID readers from any location on the platform.

Multi-layer heating mat for providing therapeutic heat to an area of the body
11197777 · 2021-12-14 ·

A heating mat that, by making use of a multilayered structure, is able to provide therapeutic benefits to a user. The heating mat has a heating layer, PEMF emitters, and a primary therapeutic layer. The primary therapeutic layer uses therapeutic materials that facilitate treatment. The heating layer functions as a flexible heating element for the heating mat. The PEMF emitters are devices which generate pulses of EM energy that are known to have therapeutic properties. The PEMF emitters is mounted adjacent to a first face of the heating layer. The primary therapeutic layer is mounted adjacent to a second face of the heating layer, opposite to the PEMF emitter.

Method and system for regulating core body temperature

A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
