REMOTE DATA MONITORING FOR COMPLIANT USE OF A MEDICAL TREATMENT DEVICE
A method implemented on a computer for tracking treatment devices and providing medical remote data monitoring. Receive electronic notification of a surgery, including a surgery date and recovery location. Find a smart treatment device that is available for a recovery period scheduled for after the surgery date. Associate a unique id to the surgery. Receive a notification of the recovery location has the smart treatment device, where the smart treatment device has computer memory and stored in the computer memory is the unique id. The smart treatment device records recovery data in the computer memory. The smart treatment device has a wireless communication channel and the smart treatment device sends the recovery data and the unique id over the wireless communication channel. Receive from the communication channel the recovery data and unique id. Make available the recovery data for the surgery that may be used for medical remote data monitoring.
MEDICAL REMOTE DATA MONITORING AND FEEDBACK FOR IMPROVED OUTCOMES
A computer method to improve medical outcomes that receives at a backend server notification of surgery including a recovery location. Creating a plan to deliver a smart treatment device with a unique identifier to the recovery location. Associate the unique identifier to the surgery. Receiving information that the smart treatment device is at the recovery location. The smart treatment device gathers recovery data. Sending the recovery data with the unique identifier to the backend server. Receiving at the backend server the recovery data. Receiving a request for access to the recovery data for the surgery. Providing access to the recovery data. Receiving and implementing adjustments to a treatment plan. Receiving final medical outcome information. Recording the surgery, recovery data and final medical outcome in a historical database. Training a machine learning algorithm on the historical data. Using the machine learning algorithm to suggest adjustments the treatment plan.
FLEXIBLE COLD/HOT COMPRESS STRIP
A flexible cold/hot compress strip includes a flexible strip body, and a thermoelectric cooler detachably installed to a side of the strip body. The other side of the strip body has a thermally conductive layer and a flexible contact layer. With the flexible design of the strip body, the thermally conductive layer and the contact layer, the whole cold/hot compress strip can be attached closely to human body for cold or hot compress, and the thermoelectric cooler has a detachable design for easy carry and use.
System and Method of Applied Contrasting Therapy to Pelvic Regions and Human Distal Anatomy
A system and method for providing Thermal contrast therapy are presented. The system may comprise a fluid membrane barrier, a human interface device (HID), fluid tubing, a pump, and a reservoir. The system may be operable to apply any combination of heat, cold, and pressurized compression, light energy, acoustic energy, and vibratory energy to a therapy recipient for treating anal-prostate-perineal and vaginal areas, as well as podological and other extremities. The system may be operable to impart a desired therapy temperature to the human interface device and to expand a membrane containing a therapy fluid. The expanded membrane may conform to the contours of a therapy site. Operation of the human interface device may be controlled using a remote-control device. The therapy recipient may be able to control the temperature of the fluid or gel, as well as reception of light energy, acoustic energy and vibratory pulsing energy to assist in treatment of one or more conditions.
Body-Worn Therapeutic Device
The present invention relates generally to the field of therapeutic accessories. More specifically, the present invention relates to a body-worn accessory which can be used to provide heating or massaging to an area of the body. The invention has a body with a front surface, a rear surface and an interior surface, a battery and a remote. The interior surface of the body has at least one heating or massaging element that is powered by the battery, and can be controlled by the remote. The remote further allows a user to control the heat or massage level of the at least one pad and the activity/inactivity of the element. The body of the device may also have a pouch to store one of a battery, pad or sponge.
Thermoelectric Heating/Cooling Pad
Disclosed are systems and methods for performing targeted temperature management including a thermal pad having a thermoelectric device. A pad controller may regulate the temperature of the thermal pad. The thermal pad temperature can facilitate cooling and/or warming of the patient. The pad can include a thermal conduction layer and a skin contact layer. The system may include a controller to set the pad temperature of multiple thermal pads according to a TTM therapy. The thermal pad and the system can incorporate data from temperature sensors coupled to the thermoelectric device and the patient. The system controller may be coupled to the thermal pads via a wired or wireless connection.
USER INTERFACE AND DATA MANAGEMENT FOR TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A temperature management system is configured to control a temperature of a patient's body using a heat exchange device. The temperature management system is configured to deliver temperature management treatment or therapy to a patient. A user interface of the system is configured to display operational data and patient data on the user interface in a configuration that allows a user to determine or review one or more periods of the performed temperature management treatment.
Combination treatment systems
Controllers for dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. A controller is in communication with the one or more strips and is programmable to monitor a temperature of the one or more strips to provide a treatment therapy above a threshold temperature. Additionally forceps for mechanically expressing the Meibomian glands may be included with the strips and/or controller.
Thermal Transfer Device For Providing Thermal Treatment To A Patient
A thermal transfer device for providing thermal treatment to a patient. A patient support portion supporting and contacting the patient includes a first segment of a fluid flow path to receive a fluid from a fluid source. A flexible covering coupled and movable relative to the patient support portion defines a space therebetween that substantially conforms to the patient. The flexible covering includes a second segment of the fluid flow path. The fluid is circulated through an inlet, an outlet, and fluid flow path for supplying heat to or removing heat from the patient support portion and the flexible covering. A fluid circulation system with a controller may selectively adjust heat transfer from temperature zones defining the patient support portion. The thermal transfer device or a mattress cover may provide for controlling the microclimate, or conditions at or near the interface between the patient and the patient support portion.
NON-CONTACT, INFRARED SENSING TEMPERATURE ACTIVATED CONTROLLER FOR ABATEMENT OF EFFECTS OF HOT FLASHES IN A HUMAN BODY
A directable, portable appliance in combination with an adjustable set-point digital temperature controller for non-contact remotely monitoring infrared temperatures of a selected area of human skin and activating an electrical fan for directing cooling air over the selected skin areas of individuals experiencing episodes of thermal chaos, i.e., hot flashes.
