Thermal transfer device for providing thermal treatment to a patient
A thermal transfer device for providing thermal treatment to a patient. A patient support portion supporting and contacting the patient includes a first segment of a fluid flow path to receive a fluid from a fluid source. A flexible covering coupled and movable relative to the patient support portion defines a space therebetween that substantially conforms to the patient. The flexible covering includes a second segment of the fluid flow path. The fluid is circulated through an inlet, an outlet, and fluid flow path for supplying heat to or removing heat from the patient support portion and the flexible covering. A fluid circulation system with a controller may selectively adjust heat transfer from temperature zones defining the patient support portion. The thermal transfer device or a mattress cover may provide for controlling the microclimate, or conditions at or near the interface between the patient and the patient support portion.
OPERATING ROOM (OR) TABLE COVER
An OR table disposable cover includes a sheet, fluid absorbent on a top side, and fluid impermeable on an opposite, bottom side; a angled support wedge positioned in a head support region on the top side of the sheet; and a soft foam ring member on a top of the angled support which in concert with its underlying support wedge maintains a patient's head in a sniff position. Also provided is a barrier cover having a patient head support member adjacent one end, said head support member being canted at an about 15° angle to the cover, and an operating table carriage that interfaces with the patient either directly, or through a cushion that allows the patient's head to translate along an Y axis of the rail.
SEGMENTED LEG HEATER SYSTEM METHOD
A segmented limb heater system method for controlled therapeutic heating of a limb having different segments and joints, differentially heating different segments or joints of a limb, with safe, automatic controls based on sensing of the different actual temperatures, in a portable, easy to use embodiment.
SEGMENTED LEG HEATER SYSTEM APPARATUS
A segmented limb heater system apparatus for controlled therapeutic heating of a limb having different segments and joints, differentially heating different segments or joints of a limb, with safe, automatic controls based on sensing of the different actual temperatures, in a portable, easy to use embodiment.
THERMAL CONTROL SYSTEM
A thermal control unit controls the temperature of a fluid delivered to one or more thermal transfer devices (e.g. thermal pads) in contact with a patient. The thermal control unit generates thermal data while being used to treat the patient and is adapted to receive thermal history data previously generated by a different thermal control unit in the treatment of that patient. Both the current and previous thermal data are displayable on the thermal control unit currently being used, thereby giving the caregiver a complete picture of the thermal history of the patient. The thermal control unit may also be adapted to transmit its thermal data, as well as the thermal history data previously received from the other thermal control unit, to still another thermal control unit. The thermal history data transfer may take place via a cable, wirelessly, by a portable flash drive, or by other means.
INTERACTIVE THERAPEUTIC BLANKET SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
An interactive therapeutic blanket system is disclosed. The interactive therapeutic blanket system provides a set of selectable features that serve to address mental health therapeutic user needs. In one embodiment, a user selects a selectable blanket configuration using a system interface and a blanket system controller controls a set of active blanket devices to the selectable blanket configuration. In one feature, the set of active blanket devices include a set of vibration devices operating according to a temporally-referenced vibration regimen. In another feature, the set of active blanket devices include a set of pressure devices to impart discrete pressure to a user at discrete body locations.
INTRAOCULAR IRRIGATION FLUID TEMPERATURE MODULATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
The present invention is directed to the field of ophthalmological surgery and pertains to a system to modulate the intraocular irrigation solution for the anterior and/or posterior chamber of the eye to body temperature during an ophthalmological surgery.
Local cooling anesthesia device, method of controlling local cooling anesthesia device, and cooling temperature regulator of local cooling anesthesia device
Disclosed is a local cooling anesthesia device for spraying a coolant on a treatment site. The local cooling anesthesia device includes a housing which forms an outward form and from which the coolant is sprayed and a spraying unit installed in the housing to spray the coolant. The device also includes a cooling temperature regulator connected to the spraying unit to apply thermal energy to the sprayed coolant for temperature regulation and a control unit connected to the cooling temperature regulator to control the cooling temperature regulator. The cooling anesthesia device has functions of measuring and regulating the temperature of the coolant, and thus can apply the coolant to the treatment site within a safe temperature range according to the purpose of treatment, thereby enabling a desired treatment purpose such as local anesthesia to be safely and rapidly accomplished without side effects such as cytoclasis.
Methods and system for cardiac mapping for atrial fibrillation using balloon based catheters utilizing medical images (CT or MRI in segments) and left ventricular lead placement for cardiac re-synchronization therapy (CRT)
Methods and system for atrial fibrillation mapping utilizing cardiac mapping based on medical image(s). The methods and system also adapted for any balloon based catheters including cryoballoon catheter, laser balloon catheter, or “hot balloon” catheter, as well as circular catheters. The methods and system includes overlaying of two or more images on top of each other (where the images are of various types or modalities) and aligning the images, where the transparency between the images can be adjusted for navigating and optimal placement of the balloon based catheters or circular catheters. The cardiac system also adopted for guiding optimal placement of the left ventricular (LV) lead placement for cardiac re-synchronization (CRT) therapy, and for mapping and displaying activation times from various branches of the coronary sinus for optimizing CRT therapy.
INFANT WARMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An infant warming system includes a bassinet having a platform configured to support an infant, at least one wireless physiological sensor configured to measure a physiological parameter from the infant and transmit physiological parameter data, and at least two radio frequency identification (RFID) readers. The RFID readers are configured to communicate with the at least one wireless physiological sensor to facilitate pairing therewith so as to enable receipt of the physiological parameter data from the wireless physiological sensors at the infant warmer system. The RFID readers each have a range distance that is less than a length of the platform and are positioned such that the wireless physiological sensor is in the range distance of at least one of the at least two RFID readers from any location on the platform.
