Heated Boat Blanket
The present invention relates to a heated blanket for use on a boat. The blanket has a top layer which is nylon, and a bottom layer which is fleece. There are one or more heater hose inserts (or openings) on each side and one or more foot pockets. The one or more heater hose inserts may be inserted with one or more heater hoses of a boat. The one or more heater hoses may blow in hot air. The hot air fills in the blanket, thereby warming the surrounding environment, which in turn warms the user body who is using the blanket. The blanket prevents the loss of body heat while utilizing the on-board heater hose to keep the user warm.
Thermal Transfer Device For Providing Thermal Treatment To A Patient
A thermal transfer device for providing thermal treatment to a patient. A patient support portion supporting and contacting the patient includes a first segment of a fluid flow path to receive a fluid from a fluid source. A flexible covering coupled and movable relative to the patient support portion defines a space therebetween that substantially conforms to the patient. The flexible covering includes a second segment of the fluid flow path. The fluid is circulated through an inlet, an outlet, and fluid flow path for supplying heat to or removing heat from the patient support portion and the flexible covering. A fluid circulation system with a controller may selectively adjust heat transfer from temperature zones defining the patient support portion. The thermal transfer device or a mattress cover may provide for controlling the microclimate, or conditions at or near the interface between the patient and the patient support portion.
Customized kit assembly for surgical implants
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for customized kit assembly for surgical implants are disclosed. A robotic surgical system designs and customizes a surgical implant and its surgical implant components. The surgical implant and its surgical implant components are assembled into a kit that is customized for a specific patient. The robotic surgical procedure using the kit can additionally select from available generic, off-the-shelf surgical implant components or customized surgical implant components.
THERAPEUTIC COVERING FOR HORSES
A therapeutic covering for a horse having a mesh material that is infused with ceramic mineral powder (emitting far-infrared wavelengths) and magnets coupled to the mesh material. The mesh material can have a mesh size that provides therapeutic effect, is breathable, and is bug resistant.
APPARATUS WITH SENSOR FEEDBACK
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus for providing pressurized, thermally conditioned air, comprising a casing, a housing in the casing describing an airflow pathway with an air diffusing outlet proximate to an outlet opening for providing a stream of pressurized air through the outlet opening, a convective module disposed part of the housing and the outlet opening via the airflow pathway. The apparatus can include a first sensor input port adjacent to a portion of the casing and configured to receive a signal indicative of a first physiological indicator and a first sensor output port adjacent to a portion of the casing and configured to transmit the signal indicative of the first physiological indicator. The apparatus can include a controller configured to determine a first physiological indicator value from the first sensor input port and perform at least one operation.
Fluid warming apparatus
The invention provides fluid warming apparatus comprising: a fan; a heater, the fan and the heater being configured to generate a heated fluid flow having a principle flow direction and an inhomogeneous temperature distribution in a distribution direction perpendicular to the said principle flow direction; and a plurality of temperature sensors offset from each other in the said distribution direction, wherein at least two of the temperature sensors are configured to measure temperatures of respective portions of the heated fluid flow having different temperatures.
APPLICATOR DEVICE AND RELATED APPARATUS
Disclosed is an applicator device for an apparatus used in a localized cryotherapy treatment. The applicator device is configured, when positioned over a body area to be treated, to receive and to uniformly distribute across the entire area covered thereby a stream of medium, such as air, adjusted to a temperature equal to or above −40 degrees Celsius (° C.) and directed, at a predetermined speed, via the applicator to the area to be treated, whereby a cold-induced thermal shock response is developed in skin and an underlying tissue within the area covered by the applicator. Related apparatus and a method are further provided.
Temperature-Regulation Apparatus
The invention provides a temperature-regulation apparatus with a segmented metal-containing layer. The metal-containing layer has an electrically insulating coating and a plurality of mutually electrically insulated planar metal segments to increase insulation by reducing thermal emissivity whilst minimizing the hazards of an electrically conductive layer. The temperature-regulation apparatus may comprise a blanket which may be used to actively supply temperature regulated air for regulating the temperature of a subject, in which case it includes at least one port, or it may be used to passively maintain the temperature of a subject, or it may comprise a temperature-regulation garment.
Thermal control system
A thermal control unit controls the temperature of a fluid delivered to one or more thermal transfer devices (e.g. thermal pads) in contact with a patient. The thermal control unit generates thermal data while being used to treat the patient and is adapted to receive thermal history data previously generated by a different thermal control unit in the treatment of that patient. Both the current and previous thermal data are displayable on the thermal control unit currently being used, thereby giving the caregiver a complete picture of the thermal history of the patient. The thermal control unit may also be adapted to transmit its thermal data, as well as the thermal history data previously received from the other thermal control unit, to still another thermal control unit. The thermal history data transfer may take place via a cable, wirelessly, by a portable flash drive, or by other means.
PTC HEATING ELEMENT AND WARMING DEVICE INCLUDING SAME FOR USE IN A PATIENT WARMING SYSTEM
A heating element includes an electrically insulating layer; resistive layer formed of a positive temperature coefficient material; and an electrically conductive layer disposed between the electrically insulating layer and the resistive layer and including a first bus and a second bus that is spaced apart from the first bus, the resistive layer electrically connecting the first bus and the second bus. The electrically insulating layer, the electrically conductive layer, and the resistive layer are stacked to form a lamination and the lamination having a thickness and a width and length extending orthogonal to the thickness. The lamination may have slits extending through the thickness thereof and along a portion of the length thereof. Terminals may be connected to the buses and arranged to provide a counter current flow pattern across the lamination. The lamination may be used in a warming device and in connection with a patient warming system.
