The present invention relates to a filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel comprising a combination of a bypass filter portion and a full flow filter portion. The present invention also relates to a method of using the filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel to remove the water/moisture and particulate contaminants therein.

DISPOSABLE FILTER CAPSULE FOR A FILTRATION DEVICE

A disposable filter capsule for a filtration device comprises only one housing, which has an inflow connection for a fluid to be filtered and an outflow connection for filtrate. The disposable filter capsule also comprises at least two separate filter means, which are fixed in the housing and together with the housing form an inseparable structural unit. All the components of the disposable filter capsule consist of sterilizable, in particular gamma-sterilizable, materials.

Water separation filter

A water separation filter is provided with a first compartment including a particulate filter and a second compartment including a hydrophobic filter for removing particle contaminants and water from a fuel flowing through the filter. Inlet and outlet fuel line couplings are provided so that the water separation filter can be installed as an in-line filter between a fuel tank and a combustion engine.

WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM

A water purification system (100) is provided and includes: a composite filter cartridge assembly (1), a booster pump (4) and a waste-water solenoid valve (7). The composite filter cartridge assembly (1) includes a filter casing (11) and a composite filter cartridge (12). The filter casing (11) has a raw-water inlet (111), a pretreated-water outlet (114), a pretreated-water inlet (115), a purified-water outlet (112) and a concentrated-water outlet (113). The composite filter cartridge (12) includes a filtering part and a mouthfeel-improving filter cartridge (123) which are arranged along an up-and-down direction. The pretreated-water outlet (114) is communicated with a water-output end of a pretreating filter cartridge (121) of the filtering part and with the booster pump (4). The pretreated-water inlet (115) is communicated with a water-input end of a fine filter cartridge (122) of the filtering part and with the booster pump (4).

FILTRATION TESTING DEVICES

The filter assembly (32, 132, 232, 432, 532, 632, 732, 832, 1032) is partially insertable into the filtration chamber (30, 330, 430, 830, 1030), such that the filter assembly (32, 132, 232, 432, 532, 632, 732, 832, 1032) passes through a filter-assembly opening (40, 840) of the filtration chamber (30, 330, 430, 830, 1030); the handle (62, 162, 262, 362, 662, 762, 862, 1062) is disposed outside the filtration chamber (30, 330, 430, 830, 1030); and the filter cartridge (28, 128, 328, 428, 528, 728, 828, 1028) is disposed within the filtration chamber (30, 330, 430, 830, 1030). The filter (60, 860) is configured to filter biological particulate from a liquid specimen sample (22) when the liquid specimen sample (22) is driven along a fluid flow path (68, 868) while the filter cartridge (28, 128, 328, 428, 528, 728, 828, 1028) is disposed within the filtration chamber (30, 330, 430, 830, 1030). A filter for separating contaminants from fluids. The filter includes stages of differing materials arranged one after another wherein the first stage blocks and captures contaminants of a selected size and passes everything smaller than this selected size. The next stage captures contaminants of a selected size which is smaller than those blocked by the first stage. The subsequent stages capture smaller and smaller contaminants. The layers comprise various materials including stranded meshes, fibrous tissues, metallic screens and ceramic discs and tubes. Some of the ceramic discs and tubes include a downstream coating to capture further contaminants such as water droplets.
